The Office of the CTO (OCTO) is responsible for bringing Pega’s industry-leading technology to market. In partnership with the General Management team and functions across the organization, this department delivers packaging, positioning, and messaging that resonates with Pega’s buyers and differentiates the company’s products from its competitors. They engage with analysts to move Pega’s leadership position forward, make sure the content behind the company’s events and digital presence is world-class, and ensure the sales teams are armed with great demos, sales tools, and competitive intelligence.

As a key member of the Office of the CTO team, you bring our differentiated product positioning and messaging for Pega’s Platform directly to the field in the form of our sales teams, SC’s, and partners.. You will build relationships across selling teams, especially technical sales, and ensure they have the content and insights to succeed. Furthermore, you will lead a team of field-facing technologists as well as collaborate with cross functional marketing teams to create and execute go to market programs and evangelize the offerings through digital marketing channels.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Lead the team that is responsible for connecting Office of the CTO (OCTO) efforts in technology product marketing, product strategy, and analyst relations to field teams

  • Develop a community of technology evangelists that are active in our key regions, partners, and can tie at a deep level our technology to business value.

  • Coordinate direct sales support efforts to ensure strong relationships and alignment with technology leaders at our clients and partners

  • Partner with Sales Effectiveness and Pega Community teams to coordinate technology enablement efforts across field roles, focusing on deep technical expertise, Pega vision and roadmap

  • Ensure our field teams – whether AE or SC, partner or Pega – have the right level of technology expertise to engage with architects and CTOs at our clients and partners

  • Identify and enable on the key technologies skills that are essential for selling and deploying Pega

  • Keep up with product enhancements and develop effective sales presentations that is grounded in market driven perspective

  • Maintain competitive intelligence and provide consultative support to sales

  • Ensure competitive insights are effectively distributed and that win / loss insights continuous inform our product and GTM strategy

  • Work across win-loss, CAB efforts, analyst teams, etc. to create a single “voice of the client and market” process into product strategy across GM’s, OCTO, and Product Management

  • Coordinate GTM efforts that cross-engagement strategies, including win formula development, SKO content, offering hierarchies, etc.

  • Manage many moving parts, deliverables, and priorities with accountability for outcomes

  • Lead and manage a team of technologists, marketers, and competitive intelligence

  • Provide coaching to team, drive personal development, and hold the team accountable for high standards of performance consistent with Pega’s culture

Who You Are:

You’re a results-driven product marketing professional excited about how emerging technologies can be leveraged to drive customer engagement. You are a knowledge seeker, continuously pursuing, trialing, and dissecting the latest technologies. Most importantly, you are an outstanding communicator; a writer who enjoys developing messaging that will connect and resonate seamlessly with key stakeholder across Product Management, Engineering, Sales and Marketing teams, playing an integral, strategic role in our overall go to market approach for each industry vertical. You arehands-on with “can do” attitude, proactive problem-solving skills, and a drive for results.

What You've Accomplished:

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA/MS a plus

  • 8-10+years of professional experience in enterprise software GTM.

  • Experience working with distributed enterprise sales teams selling to demanding technology buyers

  • Strong writing skills with experience building impactful content including white papers, interactive product demos, webinars, videos, and case studies.

  • Demonstrated experience and proven track record in working in a highly technical and B2B/B2C focused products and solutions.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external customers and drive results.

  • Experience in communicating with sales teams, customers, prospects, analysts, and internal management

  • Data driven, operational approach, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into business benefits.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to details and overall a “can-do” attitude

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Knowledge of the “Challenger Selling” methodology a plus
