Role Description

We’re looking for a skilled program manager with a proven experience managing complex cross-functional programs in an enterprise organization. You will bring extensive knowledge of program and project management processes and procedures, software development methodologies, and program management best practices with a passion for driving new products from initial concept to successful delivery and market adoption. As a senior leader you will drive major strategic initiatives from beginning to end and identify and drive opportunities for collaboration across the Salesforce ecosystem. You will be responsible for partnering with cross-function and cross-cloud leadership teams to drive the strategy of one or more programs, as well as helping to plan, organize and work with teams to execute the vision. The TPM will often be covering new ground within the company and will need to determine how different organizations work, align key people to goals, and be creative in determining how to drive to success, leveraging successful models where they exist and creating processes and best practices where they don't.

Strong candidates for this role will have experience driving cross-functional initiatives at scale and be well versed in go-to-market motions, product development, cross-cloud collaboration, as well as planning, organizing, and collaborating with teams to execute on product vision and operational excellence. You will need to ramp up quickly and become familiar with MuleSoft and Salesforce product offerings. You will need to collaborate and coordinate across multiple functions and clouds to achieve your roadmap.

Note: This is an Individual Contributor role.

Responsibilities

  • Own the program: Manage program/project plans and timelines, influence priorities, monitor and review progress, identify and mitigate risks, and manage dependencies

  • Exercise solid program leadership skills combined with strong business acumen and in-depth analytical skills

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across MuleSoft and Salesforce, guiding timely escalation and/or negotiation up the chain when needed

  • Drive day-to-day execution including planning, tracking, documentation and reporting

  • Ensure appropriate, regular cadence of communication across all stakeholders

  • Help design & roll out internal process workflows and metrics

  • Lead and implement process improvements (change management) while managing active projects

  • Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements

  • Employ negotiation, conflict management and leadership skills to keep the program on track and on budget

  • Have courageous conversations regarding budget, resources and timeline and formally capture and communicate outcomes of those meetings

  • Conduct retrospectives and gather feedback and data on program success metrics

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in a Program Management Role with proven track record of delivering business value

  • Outstanding communication and listening skills with an ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to a variety of audiences

  • Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment to manage issue resolution

  • Ability to execute and manage performance and expectations within a cross-functional, matrix management environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence senior executives and team members at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as required

  • Ability to perform business / systems analysis to assist with process solutions

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with MuleSoft and Salesforce a strong plus

  • Preferred certifications in one or more: PMP, Agile Scrum Master, Scaled Agile, APMG, Six Sigma Belts

  • Direct experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, security, product, and data science

  • Preference for collaborative work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

  • Experience overcoming the difficulties of managing projects with remote and global team members
