About the opportunity: As the Director of Strategic Sales Programs, you will be tasked with leading highly collaborative and cross-functional teams through the design and execution of impactful sales programs, sponsored at the C-suite level or by key executives. You will utilize your business and go-to-market acumen along with skillsets in sales strategy, analytics, business operations, and project management to deliver programmatic world-class results for the Field Operations group (including field sales and customer success). While this is currently an individual contributor role, your ability to manage and influence a broad team of cross-functional stakeholders from product, marketing, operations, sales, customer success, and partners is instrumental to your success. What You Will Do: + Be the program leader (not the project manager) of key cross-functional programs from design to execution to continuous improvement + Rationalize strategic objectives and structure solutions that are executable by cross-functional stakeholders + Work closely with key partners such as sales leadership to build a common model of goals and execution, product to support GTM endeavors, marketing to build out GTM execution and roll-out, enablement to arm the sales teams with relevant knowledge, partner to build scale, and operations to ensure backend processes are set up to execute programs smoothly along with systems/KPIs to track the success + Act as the glue within each program - develop creative solutions to drive forward progress when roadblocks are identified + Keep the management team updated on the success of programs and opportunities to improve What gives you an edge: + Experience in rolling out large cross-functional GTM programs for SaaS/PaaS/IaaS companies; prior GTM consulting experience with top-tier firms a plus + Ability and comfort in structuring effective solutions in an ambiguous environment is a must + Exposure to working with sales, marketing, partner ecosystem, and product teams to design, formulate and implement strategic sales programs + Comfort in managing cross-functional stakeholders at the executive level + Knowledge of analytics and when to apply them strategically to ensure optimal results + Prior experience presenting/communicating strategic topics to C-suite level executives + Experience in building out processes that are required to implement and track large scale programs + Ability to roll up sleeves when needed to get things moving + Clear, consistent demonstration of self-starter behavior and a desire to tackle complex challenges + Excellent communication and slide-building skills + MBA preferred, minimum Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or relevant experience #LI-Remote #LI-DO2 Come As You Are At Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture.
