The Director of Sales Strategy & Operations will lead and continue to build out the function as a center of excellence for PromoteIQ by working cross-functionally with all contributors to PIQ’s sales goals. Successful candidates will have built and scaled the sales operations team for a high-growth SaaS startup or similar company with a proven track record of attracting/growing/retaining high performers, but doesn’t shy away from rolling their sleeves up and getting their hands dirty. They will also possess strong interpersonal skills, deep intellectual curiosity, the ability to communicate structured thinking effectively, and analytical rigor.


  • Build and execute the operating cadence across all sales functions to ensure the health of the business against the operating plan - achieving KPI’s including forecast accuracy, funnel analysis, and pipeline management.

  • Design and manage core sales ops processes such as strategic planning activities, target setting and forecasting with the right cadence (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually).

  • Work closely with internal business partners and stakeholders to drive adoption and implementation of global standards, processes and programs.

  • Track and report all key performance indicators, goals, efficiency and trend analyses during regular business reviews.

  • Work with the analytics team to develop management dashboards and reports that are actionable and automated.

  • Provide input and influence incentive compensation strategy.

  • Design and build data models, tools and systems (including our CRM system) that will enable to improve the sales processes and operations and foster operational efficiency.

  • Prepare ad hoc analysis & participate on projects as needed.


  • 10+ years of leading a divisional sales operations function or similar responsibilities supporting sales functions.

  • A solid understanding of Sales Strategy and Operations ideally with previous experience in advertising technology or enterprise software.

  • Experience in multiple organizational programs such as goals setting, training and enablement, curriculum development, organizational development, and metrics development including dashboarding and scorecarding.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

  • Expertise with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Dynamics.

  • Experience with Tableau or other BI/analytics tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.

  • Experience managing a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree.

  • Sales, Account Management or Customer Success experience.

  • Experience with SQL.
