Seniorlink/Caregiver Homes Director, Sales Operations in Boston, Massachusetts

The Director, Sales Operations is responsible for managing Seniorlink’s Sales Operations function. This entails owning Seniorlink’s sales process, measuring and influencing the productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization, and driving accountability throughout the organization. Reporting to the VP, Sales, the Director, Sales Operations provides guidance on all sales and market analytics to influence decisions and track results. Utilizing business intelligence, they anticipate and identify trends (leading indicators) through a variety of metrics that will add value or prevent the business from meeting/exceeding against key objectives.

  • Drive sales effectiveness initiatives with the various teams to maximize sales and overall productivity (e.g. initiatives, projects, process and systems)

  • Partner with sales leadership and other key stakeholders to gain commitment on sales strategy; Become a key player in the building of a high-performance sales culture and drive accountability

  • Lead sales analytics and provide meaningful analysis of pipeline health and margin health, making recommendations as needed to drive results

  • Oversee sales incentive administration and goal setting; analyze, measure and report on sales performance, making recommendations on the sales incentive program in collaboration with Head of Sales

  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the sales organization and provide insights into sales productivity and market penetration; develop scalable automated management level reports/dashboards and routinely provide progress and benchmarks against key goals

  • Provide ongoing competitive analysis, including the report out and dissemination of competitor data

  • Assist sales leaders to drive sales and operational bottoms up reporting accuracy

  • Ensure quality of sales data by investigating conflicting sources of truth, conducting data audits/mapping, and assessing the value, breadth, and depth of new data sources

  • Lead planning efforts; develop agreed upon templates, set calendar for readouts, and hold organization accountable

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience; 10+ years overall experience working in a national sales operations function or business analytics capacity with 2+ years participation in a sales team that achieved double-digit growth performance

  • Experience managing teams (lead, monitor, supervise) and sales compensation programs

  • Proven ability to work effectively within complex decision making and organizational structures

  • Demonstrated success being a sales system champion ensuring adoption of the system and data

  • Experience with business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales; industrial products preferred

  • Experience with one or more leading CRM tools/applications, Salesforce preferred

  • Advanced PC and Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Moderate to advanced BI capabilities preferred (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)

  • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build “trusted advisor” relationships with internal senior stakeholders

  • Highly motivated, extremely organized and detail oriented
