Thermo Fisher Scientific Director Product Management in Boston, Massachusetts
Product Management/Marketing and Business Development:
Build the global marketing plan including value proposition, positioning, segmentation, sales enablement, marketing mix, and aligning marketing execution across all geographies and market segments
Lead and support a team of marketers to define and implement long-term product roadmaps and near-term marketing strategies to achieve revenue growth objectives.
Identify new markets and business opportunities globally.
Develop, refresh and increase effectiveness of marketing initiatives, ensuring best-in-class messaging, advertising, and promotion of FSI products in the market.
Partner closely with Sales leadership to ensure alignment to sales pipeline objectives and build awareness, demand generation, and lead awareness
Drive continuous improvement in core marketing capabilities including execution new product launches in partnership with Sales and R&D leadership.
Assess competitive landscape, market segment growth potential and lead annual planning process.
Collaborate with business unit leadership team to identify strategic partnership opportunities and execute strategic alliance plans that help improve FSI's market position
Partner and collaborate with other Thermo Fisher business units to identify points of intersection for new business and market opportunities
Team Development and Management:
Build, lead and mentor a team who will exceed targets and deliver outstanding results.
Strengthen long term talent pipeline.
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's degree in business, a physical science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent required; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
4-6 years leadership experience of product management/marketing and have led products through full lifecycle in both mature and emerging markets
Worked in global, highly matrixed, multicultural organization
Experience in change management principles and methodologies
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
Outstanding skills including team leadership, thought leadership, and teamwork, and resolving issues
Able to effectively lead teams and prioritize the right work amidst a wide array of activities, question the status quo and inspire change
Shown she/he can influence and lead cross-functional teams to success in ambiguous situations
