Adecco Staffing Director of Product Management Government-Accounts Receivable Management in Boston, Massachusetts

Adecco is partnering with a fantastic financial client on their search for a Director of Product Management to support their growing business!

Location: This position may work remotely or from one of their locations in the Greater Boston, Indianapolis, or Portland area.

What do the key responsibilities look like?

  • Direct the activities of the product managers to enable and accelerate the strategy of taking our on-prem and hosted products to SaaS

  • Identify market problems and use cases to capture the "voice of the customer"

  • Employ Design Thinking and Agile product development principles to create new product features, enhancements, extensions, and integrations that will entice existing customers to move to SaaS, as well as being attractive for net new customer acquisition

  • Advocate for a consistent, modern, and functional user interface for our products

  • Create a highly productive working relationship with cross-functional teams including sales leaders, support and implementation leaders, professional services, product marketing, field marketing, software engineering, scrum managers, operations, and finance to ensure alignment and execution of end-to-end release management of the product roadmap

  • Build compelling business cases for prioritization and execution of product enhancements, add-on modules, and integrations to ensure product growth plans in identified segments and sub-segments

  • Develop an informed point of view on market dynamics, demand and technology trends, and competitive moves for the product markets that are serviced by the product portfolio

  • Ensure that the product managers follow established frameworks and processes that govern the entire product lifecycle from defining requirements to product delivery

  • Lead, coach, and mentor Product Managers to take ownership of their products and achieve high performance

    What does the candidate profile look like?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in software/computer engineering or business; MBA strongly preferred

  • At least 10 years of product management experience, with at least 5 years of management responsibility

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend and position products to optimize revenue potential

  • Experience with business case development

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent ability to develop recommendations, form judgments and make decisions based on existing available data.

  • Experience in the government, grants and/or accounts receivable management industry preferred

  • Experience in Agile Product Development & Pragmatic Marketing

  • Experience in Design Thinking

  • Collaborative leadership and management style that fosters innovative thinking

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
