This position is a critical role in leading efforts to achieve BCH national growth targets. This role will be focused on initiatives that include developing formal relationships with other institutions/health care systems, payers, and aggregators. Current priorities include the implementation and management of relationships with external collaborators designed to drive incremental patient volume.
This National Business Strategy Director will be responsible to:
Lead the analysis of national growth opportunities based upon the understanding of the Hospital’s strategic goals and review of health care trends and consolidation activities. In collaboration with clinical leadership, marketing, finance, and digital synthesizes information across service/business lines, identify, and track major trends and developments that affect delivery of pediatric care nationally. Conduct ongoing assessment of the Hospital’s market position through review and analysis of competitive and internal data, including qualitative and quantitative elements, to identify and prioritize high priority regions.
Evaluate and develop various strategies with respect to providers, payers and consumers to meet national goals and targets. Work in collaboration with other functions to implement and operationalize various initiatives, as well as to disseminate relevant information and promote alignment around national strategies. Effectively initiate and build relationships with national payers and potential partnerships with referring provider organizations. Develop and customize attractive relationship models through examination of structures within and outside of the healthcare industry.
Support leadership in prioritizing opportunities with a framework that promotes a rigorous review of risks and benefits and that enables clear decisions consistent with the organization’s objectives. Present strategic options to business unit and enterprise leadership to guide decision-making.
Promote services in coordination with marketing, physicians relations outreach and national network development efforts aimed at referral sources including providers, consumers, national payers and employers. Support implementation and integration efforts of these efforts.
Support the growth of referrals to specific depts and programs through consultation, innovative problem‑solving, and facilitation of change. Work closely with marketing on promotional activities, appropriate branding and messaging with respect to the national strategies.
To qualify you must have:
A Bachelor degree required. Master’s Degree in Business Admin or a related post-graduate degree preferred and 7 yrs of progressively responsible experience in business/health care analytics, strategy consulting, business and contract development, and evaluation for a complex health care organization or in the healthcare field
Strong financial acumen including the ability to provide sound analysis
High-level analytical capabilities, excellent quantitative skills, and attention to salient details
