SHI International Director of Growth Marketing Programs - SMB in Boston, Massachusetts
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and skilled B2B technology marketing professional to forge a closer working relationship between one of SHI’s newest selling units, SMB and Commercial, and the central marketing team.
The Director of Growth Marketing Programs for SMB and Commercial will work directly with sales leadership to understand the business strategy and then create, execute and analyze a marketing program to support this. Programs will comprise, but are not limited to, demand generation programs, brand awareness initiatives, social media engagement, field event support, partner co-op marketing and internal sales enablement.
The primary success metrics for the Director of Growth Marketing Programs will be supporting the acquisition of new customers in the SMB space (facilitated by the introduction of a marketing attribution model) and the expansion of SHI’s footprint/share of wallet within SMB customers.
You’ll be responsible for supporting exciting new products and services from SHI aimed at the SMB market, as well as working with Strategic partners to create joint marketing programs with an ‘SHI value add’ twist.
You’ll have the opportunity to select and implement new technologies and processes to deliver effective marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
You will be a senior marketer with a proven track record in self-managing successful growth programs aimed at fast-growing and SMB organizations, including account profiling and research, demand generation, account-based marketing and customer loyalty/advocacy programs. This is initially a sole-contributor role, with the opportunity to build a team as success is demonstrated and the business case proven. You will have the full support of the wider Marketing Communications and Marketing Events teams to support your efforts.
You will report initially to the Head of Growth and Demand Marketing with a close working relationship with the sales leadership of the SMB and Commercial sales groups.

Develop the overall marketing strategy for SHI’s Strategic Business, partnering with sales and marketing to define objectives and develop a marketing plan that will drive predictable pipeline
Collaborate with sales, marketing and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design integrated campaign plans that meet business objectives and market demand
Responsible for design of omnichannel, integrated marketing planning, including investment mix and performance management for all channels
Accountable for ensuring all marketing plan tactics are executed with direct responsibility of email, direct mail, virtual events, advertising, telemarketing, microsites, sales communications and reporting
Evaluate, select and manage strategic marketing vendors that contribute to the outsourced execution of marketing programs
Inform channel investment strategy, partnering with internal digital, events, content and campaign marketing teams to deliver an omnichannel campaign strategy
Interlock with product marketing and creative to develop value proposition messaging and inform content strategy
Report on campaign performance and overall marketing impact regularly to internal stakeholders and partners
Capture insights and feedback, internally and externally, to inform future campaign strategy and messaging
Manage and adhere to a defined revenue marketing budget, including MDF partner funding management
Develop campaign briefs to inform and enable extended marketing and sales teams on GTM strategy
Partner with SHI strategic services organization counterparts to co-market Stratascale services
Bachelors or Masters Degree OR recognized advanced marketing qualification
5+ years in a manager level role or above
B2B technology marketing experience
Direct sales experience
Proven track record of working with executive leadership
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management and organization skills
Strategic planning abilities in line with business segment and company initiatives by developing business goals, designing strategies, and organizing resources to produce quality results
Problem solving skills with the ability to serve as an escalation point and knowledgeable resource and direct resolution
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
Ability to self-study and engage in independent work to increase job related knowledge and skills
Skilled use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Power BI and Microsoft Teams
Experience using Marketo automation
Knowledge of marketing models and frameworks such as Sirius Decisions
Budget management skills
Knowledgeable in working in the IT channel
- 25% travel will be required
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
