Summary:

  • Leads, directs and identifies strategic opportunities to enhance the growth of business through the various strategic business development plans in the defined territory.

Brand Management

  • Develops, directs and identifies new opportunities for growth.

  • Analyzes individual market dynamics, size, barriers to entry, technologies, key contacts, competitors, options, etc.

  • Develops new market initiatives and analyzes business opportunities to increase market share.

  • Develops relationships with association members, vendor counterparts and existing network to growth opportunities.

  • Maintains relationships with local, federal and state governmental entities. Acts as government affairs representative on select occasions.

  • Develops and pursues legislative mechanisms to create programs necessary to the economic health of the Company. Includes advocating positions in favor of approved incentives and tax relief devices applying creative or innovative approaches.

  • Identifies and pursues new sources of business including attraction and expansion projects, includes identifying new avenues for acquisition or start-up projects.

  • Coordinates and develops regional activities that benefit the Company’s business climate. This includes acting as a representative and active participant in task forces and regional partnerships.

  • Oversees business attraction, retention and expansion opportunities/projects.

  • Provides vital input in short- and long-term strategic and operational planning and positioning within the Company.

  • Assists leadership to identify and address organizational development issues that challenge and support health and effectiveness Company-wide.

  • Spearheads business development initiatives that are consistent with the Company’s overall strategy.

  • Wins early customers with limited support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or related field from a four-year college or university. Graduate degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ accounting/finance or business development experience. Healthcare, senior living industry, rehab, pharmacy or long-term care environment preferred.

  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Business development principles, practices and techniques.

  • Marketing or selling services in a start-up or early stage environment.

  • Computer applications, hardware and software and telecommunications platforms.

  • Federal and state regulations, facility policies, procedures and programs as pertaining to pharmacy, long

  • term care industry and rehab services.

  • Compliance with external regulatory agencies and organizations for all areas of responsibility.

Skills in:

  • Interpersonal and analytical skills; gathering and compiling information and analyzing and adjusting discrepancies.

  • Ongoing development of a servant leadership culture that strives to achieve the highest ethical standards.

  • Statistical methods, concepts and other analytical tools.

  • Project management from conception to evaluation, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.

  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workflow and ensure duties and projects are completed by deadlines

  • Strategic planning and analysis to support business operations, analyze and design efficiency metrics to create a long-term successful growth vision.

Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and identify and recommend solutions to problems.
