Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Director of AI for one of our logistics clients. As the Director of AI, this person will support our client in growing their organization through advanced analytics and will build and lead a high-performing AI team. This role reports directly to the VP of Technology and will oversee a team of 10+ onshore and offshore resources. You will collaborate with business and technology leaders to develop and execute our AI roadmap and oversee and expand our AI initiatives. This hire will be critical in driving AI utilization across multiple business functions. Our client needs people leadership experience and someone who is going to drive AI adoption in all parts of the business and bring new transformative ideas to our client.(This could be across pricing, sales, operations, etc.). The ideal hire is someone with strong experience in ML/Generative AI, and optimization/data science modeling, as well as someone that has been hands-on in the models and comes from a strong engineering/data science IC background, with the combination of a leadership background. This role sits in Boston, MA 4 days a week onsite to start then switches to a 2 days a week smart-hybrid schedule after a few months.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience

 7+ years of data science, operations research and/or software engineering experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with a proven track record of building and deploying AI models.

 5+ years of experience years of leading, managing, and developing highly talented teams.

 Strong technical background and deep understanding of Machine Learning with practical experience in building and implementing large-scale predictive models and recommendation systems.

 Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence partners and customers with data insights and expertise.

 Proficient in AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and programming languages (e.g., Python/ Java), with experience in building and deploying AI models for end-to-end AI/ML solutions. Masters degree or PhD, or equivalent experience in Data Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

 12+ years experience leading, managing, and developing highly talented teams.

 Proven leadership experience in data analytics and AI, or a related role, with a strong background in designing and implementing data science solutions.

 Prior experience leading technical engagements across data engineering, data science, AI, and Gen AI workstreams.

 Strong leadership and proactive communication to coordinate with the project teams and other internal stakeholders.

 Experience with delivering solutions on major cloud platforms, data science tools, and Gen AI technologies.

 Strong business acumen, with experience in managing P&L, revenue growth, and client engagements null
