The Team: You will join Team Primary, the sales team responsible for retaining and up-selling the long-tail customers of S&P Global Market Intelligence. We are a new team (a year young) trying to work differently, using automation and technology to scale. We are a global team of approximately 85 diverse, tech-savvy, self-disruptive, motivated Sales Leaders and Account Managers.

The Impact: As the Director of our Non-Financial Corporate customer segment within Primary, you will have a direct impact on the financial results of the team. You will be part of dynamic leadership team working to continue the evolution of the Primary business. This leadership role will work to refine the processes, infrastructure and roadmap to support a high volume of lower value relationships using a tech-enabled, self-serve customer journey model that meets the unique needs of this customer base. This role is responsible for retaining and growing revenue across this client segment (approximately 4,300 customers and $50M in annual contract value). This role will provide direction and direct leadership to an on-shore team consisting of a Team Lead and five Account Managers as well as an off-shore team with a local Manager, Team Lead and twelve Account Managers.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,100 to $228,700. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

Responsibilities:

  • Set team strategy and reinforce the Team Primary vision to the global front-line

  • Coach Account Managers on resolving client issues, identifying growth potential, and closing sales and renewals

  • Analyze performance and pipeline to provide insight to senior leadership and guidance to the team on how to hit and exceed targets

  • Collaborate with other departments, including Customer Success, Prospecting, and Product Specialist teams, to ensure a holistic and high-quality client experience

  • Manage through change as this team develops, adopts new technology, and establishes new ways of working

What We’re Looking For:

Results oriented sales leader with proven track record of delivering sales results. Energetic, authentic manager who wants to be part of strong leadership team working to build a new team and capability set.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and Relationship Management, Product Management, Commercial Operations or other customer focused roles required.

  • 3+ years of sales management experience or similar experience

  • Complex sales and commercial experience, Diagnostic/ consultative sales aptitude,

  • Understanding of go-to-market and marketing channel strategy concepts, and experience with servicing global clients.

  • Strong communicator and motivator, able to engage effectively with direct team, peers and senior level management

  • Creative and innovative thinking skills, sound and thoughtful decision maker

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling into Corporations, particularly outside of the financial sector

  • Familiarity with supply chain, commodities products, services and customers

  • A global mindset and experience managing off-shore operational center teams
