Responsibilities

The Director, Marketing Intelligence, leads the development and execution of fact-based reporting, analysis and analytical models used to enhance decision making across the marketing function and in support of Iron Mountain’s growth strategy. He or she will report into the VP, Customer Experience and Insights plays a critical role in the development of a more robust insights and intelligence engine to drive enhanced customer experience, business growth and performance reporting. He/she supports the organization with insights derived from analysis, predictive analytics and other sources of intelligence, which are used to produce improved results.

Responsibilities will include managing and owning all aspects of our marketing analytics and insights teams, coordinating input of stakeholders, holding the teams accountable to commitments and timelines and communicating results and outcomes to all levels of the organization.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to define and implement frameworks for measuring, reporting and analyzing marketing results.

  • Gain buy-in for measurement models from key stakeholders, then work to ensure utilization and adoption of reporting by these stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain appropriate marketing key performance indicators and ROI models for marketing campaigns and out-of-campaigns activities to determine effectiveness.

  • Create advanced and predictive models such as marketing mix, propensity to buy, next best offer and customer lifetime value, then assist marketing teams in using these models to adjust their tactical mixes.

  • Develop advanced capabilities for visualization used to communicate more effectively to senior leaders and broader audiences.

  • Perform segmentation and analysis of prospect and customer groups.

  • Support adjacent commercial and corporate functions such as customer experience, product management, sales, strategy and others to provide customer-specific market intelligence to improve performance.

  • Advise marketing operations functions on data requirement necessary to perform desired analyses; participate in the development of process modifications needed to deliver required data.

Success Metrics:

  • Stakeholders satisfaction and adoption of team’s output

  • Effectiveness/accuracy of key models correlated to performance

  • Completion of regular tasks on time/on budget (e.g. delivery of routine marketing reports/dashboards, completion of annual budget)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required/Master’s Degree preferred

  • 7-10 years of analytical experience required

  • 3+ years of managing complex initiatives and delivering on measurable goals

  • Proven experience motivating and managing direct and indirect reports and organizations

  • Experience in building new teams or a department is desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence effectively across organizational functions and at all levels to achieve results

  • Highly motivated critical thinker with strong strategic planning skills

  • Must have strong communications skills and experience creating presentations and delivering them to groups of executives and/or customers
