WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training.

  • Experience with and passion for consumer/product organizations

  • 8+ years of demonstrated internally oriented business-facing HR experience.

  • 4+ years in an HR Business Partner or similar role.

  • Well-developed consumer industry knowledge, market insight, and proven enterprise thinking.

  • Demonstrable experience developing partnerships with business leaders, particularly in helping them managing significant organizational change during periods of realignment and growth.

  • Strong leadership behaviours – strategic thinking, setting a clear vision and manage ambiguity and leading change

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations across timezones. Proven ability to effectively communicate complex and/or sensitive topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.

  • Available to travel 10%.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Apparel, Footwear or consumer-centric organizations. Understanding of the product lifecycle and consumer creation is a plus.

  • Experience leading or partnering with Org Design/Org Effectiveness, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Recruiting, and Total Rewards.

  • Proven experience setting and leading complex organizational effectiveness and design initiatives, as well as multi-year talent strategies.

  • Experience supporting matrix organizations across brands, global functions and geographies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Converse HR team is seeking a Director-level HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support the global product creation and merchandising teams (Footwear, Apparel, Accessories, Design). Our team leads the global HR agenda and provides solutions and advocacy to employees, managers, and senior leaders. We are looking for a passionate HR leader to implement and deliver key HR programs, practices and policies to the business, managers, and employees! We serve as a key resource for leaders & employees through sensing, listening, providing mentorship and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR specialists within Converse and NIKE, Inc. A strong HR professional with a background strategic consultation and coaching to Executive/Corporate leaders on organizational issues and the talent agenda will help us to accelerate the growth of the business.

We are searching for an HR professional who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced organization and can demonstrate strong cross functional collaboration, executive communication and both digital and in-person presentation skills to communicate across all levels of the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

This role leads an integrated HR agenda across Design, Footwear and Apparel, globally. You will be a member of the functional business leadership teams as well as the global Converse HR leadership team. You are responsible for crafting and leading the HR strategy with priority on obsessing the employee experience to engage, empower, develop and retain talent. You'll partner with the leaders to drive this vision into practice. You'll also pioneer the future ways of working, leading the integral HR agenda which focuses on an inclusive employee experience. You'll build organizational alignment and capability through development and/or facilitation of appropriate leader focused interventions (e.g., team effectiveness, goal development and alignment, manager capability, employee engagement, etc.).

In this position, you’ll also own the strategic workforce plans that are aligned with business strategies and objectives. Applying diagnosis skills and core metrics, you'll guide HR COEs in the shaping of appropriate and innovative people-focused solutions. You’ll provide HR functional expertise on business strategies, as well as sound business expertise, to managers and teams. Finally, you will be accountable for the state of the bench, succession, career planning, and functional excellence, while also sharing business inputs with COEs and Employee Services, enabling them to build business focused solutions.

You will work with the most innovative, creative and passionate creators and leaders in the industry. Alongside others, you’ll help build, implement and drive the Functional global HR Strategy across multiple teams. You will report to the VP, HR Converse (located in Boston) and collaborate across the global HR COE’s and Geography HR teams. You are aligned to the global leaders for Footwear, Apparel, Design and their respective leadership teams.
