The Director, Growth Markets/Diversity and Inclusion will develop, lead and implement strategic objectives that enable Century 21 to drive engagement with growth markets to include the Hispanic, African American and Asian Markets as well as other diverse market growth markets segment. This role will report directly to the brand CMO and will be a collaborative position working across the operations, sales and marketing teams as well as directly with Realogy’s Growth Market function. The role will champion programs to ensure an inclusive people experience and partner with senior leadership to embed D&I throughout the organization. He/She will lead cross-functional teams to execute strategy and track measurable results. The successful candidate will bring experience and passion for a blend of diversity, project leadership/planning, business development, analytics, project management, influencing, reporting, and strong presentation and relationship building skills.

This position is fully remote. As we come out of the pandemic and are sure that it’s safe to resume operations, this role will be required to travel up to 30% as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Position Century 21 as “the place to be” for agents and affiliate owners, specifically in the diverse market segments.

  • Manage relationships with strategic trade partners such as the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, the Asian Real Estate Association of America, National Association of Real Estate Brokers and the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals to develop and deploy growth markets strategy; coordinate with marketing team to ensure effective marketing plan/support in place.

  • Leverage trade partner networks to increase brand engagement with members

  • Develop strategy and execution of C21 strategic advisors/influencers to be active participants and advocates to drive engagement and growth

  • Proactively identify current and future needs, shaping business development opportunities supporting within the diverse market segments.

  • Provide monthly metric reports on strategic plan

  • Drive business strategies focused on increasing diverse agent recruitment and broker affiliations

  • Liaise with franchise sales to identify prospects and participate in VIP’s

  • Increase diverse broker and agent brand engagement

  • Liaise with the onboarding team to drive D&I strategy

  • Report on business metrics/ROI of desired outcomes (i.e., franchise sales, agent recruitment, awards and recognition rankings, broker engagement metrics)

D&I Development

  • Lead brand planning of strategic and operational efforts to help more effectively recruit, develop, engage, and retain our diverse workforce and increase the organization’s ability to support an environment where all people feel included.

  • Be a strong voice for D&I within Century 21 across all working groups (i.e., marketing, operations, field services, learning, recruiting, communications…)

  • Provide input into learning, onboarding, recruiting and marketing platforms, based on best practices around diversity and inclusion.

  • Position the brand as thought leaders within the diverse growth markets

  • Research data to help drive discussion points for leadership presentations

  • Maintain database of resources and tools supporting growth markets (i.e. reports, trends, best practices…)

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years real estate, diversity and/or business development experience

  • Strong strategic mindset, knowledge of multi-cultural and diverse markets

  • Passionate about inclusion, diversity and equality

  • Track record of fostering, driving, and implementing innovative ideas with broad impact

  • Demonstrated strategic partnering skills and the ability to work across functions and communities to develop ideas and deliver outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience articulating a vision, translating it into executable strategy and driving cross-functional teams to deliver against the plan

  • Effective in remote engagement with team members

  • Strong influencing skills and ability to drive results combined with analytical reporting skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work with leaders at all levels; including the ability to engage with C Level executives to drive strategy

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing priorities based on business needs

  • Strong critical-thinking, negotiation skills and leadership skills

  • Business travel up to 30% may be required (when safe to travel)
