Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Governance & Portfolio Management within IT, the Director of EIT Business Value Office will be a key Enterprise IT (EIT) change agent leading Portfolio/Demand Management, the process and playbook around Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Vendor and Licence Management. For Portfolio/Demand management, this role will drive the overall health of Enterprise IT by creating and managing the process of how new demand comes into EIT and will also lead the visualization and impact to the various EIT portfolios of this new demand. This role will own the ServiceNow module related to Portfolio/Demand Management and drive the workflow of demand with analytics. The Portfolio process will include a strong connection to M&A. This role will create and drive the processes and playbook for how EIT manages M&A, the impact into the overall EIT pipeline and the logistics related to the various stages of M&A. This role will lead a team of EIT professionals who will manage the processes, relationships with key EIT stakeholders and the reporting and KPIs related to Portfolio health, demand impact and M&A. This role will also work with various business partners within IRM and will own the relationship with the strategic vendors in EIT. A strong understanding of the development lifecycle and agile principles will be key to the success of this role as well as collaborating closely with the Director EIT Economics to align the demand process to effective forecast models based on roadmaps for both the business units & EIT Portfolios. This role will then need to drive solutions to improve the accuracy of demand forecasting. In addition, strong communication and stakeholder engagement are critical to success, which includes the ability to effectively partner and collaborate with those leading and working on the commercial side of the business i.e. sales, marketing, advertising, merchandising and related.

Candidates will possess the necessary balance of strategic vision of demand management and strong process driven metrics. The candidate must have the ability to design financial models, processes, and procedures that scale to meet the needs, challenges, and opportunities of the organization. Moreover, they will need to build relationships across all layers of the organization.

They will be an outstanding communicator, capable of describing the business impact and cost justification of initiatives, as well as the transformational potential of emerging technologies. They must possess executive presence, communication, and senior-level influencing skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

● Drive the processes and data required by the Director EIT Economics to build the EIT strategic and multi-year planning process.

● Manage a highly functional team that drives the overall success of EIT by understanding and communicating work through demand & M&As.

● Build and maintain connections with strategic vendors that drive multiple partnerships and frequent connections on progress with senior leadership.

M&A

● Own the Pre Close/Due Diligence stage of M&A for EIT ,representing EIT’s interest and aligning necessary data points needed for the deal team to make decisions.

● Create and drive the playbooks EIT will use to manage M&A ensuring close collaboration with the Director EIT Economics for proper management and oversight of financial elements of M&A

● Create and present monthly progress to EIT leadership to connect progress and opportunities with the M&A process.

● Create and implement integration strategies for M&A that align with the company's growth targets and business objectives that drive a focus on integration, financial responsibilities and definition of done for IT related activities.

● Create and define the feedback loops with cross-functional teams, such as legal, operations, and finance, to ensure the successful execution of M&A integrations.

● Lead the creation of dynamic reports to show process and risk against M&A timelines and work with technical business partners & Product delivery leads to avoid delays.

● Coordinate and manage the integration of acquired businesses including the structure of Pre- Close, Post-Close and A&I processes.

● Provides oversight and governance of financial standards in partnership with EIT Economics for M&A initiatives.

Demand/Portfolio Management

● Own the definition, implementation and support of the demand/portfolio management process for EIT.

● Design, develop, and maintain reports and KPIs that provide detailed demand request progress.

● Manage the communication with EIT Leadership with quantitative KPIs on Demand Mgt & Portfolio Management as well as qualitative details for presentations to IRM ELT.

● Create the strategy for maintaining the hygiene of portfolio data for the EIT Organization.

● Own and continue to work with our strategic vendors to adopt new technologies in keeping the demand process aligned to industry standards.

● Own the management of the tooling that will drive the process for both Demand Management and Portfolio Management.

● Create the Strategy for tracking and articulating attainment of value and key KPI/Metrics on strategic initiatives that are submitted through the demand management process that will allow leadership to prioritize and approve demand.

License Management

● Create a holistic process to keep the hygiene of software licenses both SaaS and on Prem software.

● Build internal auditable governance processes for key strategic softwares.

● Drive a strong collaborative relationship with strategic EIT Vendors.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

Number of Years of Work Experience:

Number of Years of Work Experience: 10+ with 8 years of IT Financial experience.

Required Skills:

● Technology or Software / SaaS industry experience

● Experience and Understanding Mergers and acquisitions process and impact

● Experience in Demand Management process for technology

● Strong understanding of development principles including kanban, agile and waterfall.

● Managerial experiences in a high paced organization

● The ability to interpret complex datasets and forecast demand

● A solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures

● Strong analytical skills, with proficiency using Sheets, SQL

● Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)

● Strong, proven problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze the most expedient method to recover business operations

● Must be committed to a culture of continuous improvement

● Exceptional customer service skills, in addition to extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

● Must be able to communicate effectively with users, executives and senior leaders at all levels

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent experience is required
