This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to expand knowledge base to include demand planning and gain strong cross-functional experience while impacting the strategic goals of the LEGO organization. The department is responsible for the development of the Americas long-term demand plan - using statistical models, macroeconomic, internal, and external data. Demand Planning closely collaborates with Brand Marketing, Business Units, Finance and Supply. The demand plan is used for manufacturing, financial planning, and business performance.

The role of the Demand Planning Manager is to develop the most accurate long-term demand plan for specific themes and supporting the S&OP process in the Americas region. Additional responsibilities include doing analytics, and coordinating and driving continuous improvement.

The main challenges are (1) using empirical data to vet key assumptions and insights, (2) developing structured and effective working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the LEGO organizations, (3) engaging in a fast moving business and (4) developing the most accurate demand plan for specific themes and BUs.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop long-term demand plan by theme by month for Americas region with high degree of fidelity.

  • Responsible for the development of annual plans and identifying and communicating gaps to target for business teams to action.

  • Influence and drive collaboration across various departments (e.g. Americas marketing, BU sales and Regional finance) and address input gaps as identified by forecast error review.

  • Participate and support S&OP meetings to proactively challenge forecast assumptions, articulate regionally created statistical inputs and insights to the demand plan, and do post meeting adhoc analysis

  • Identify gaps to key performance metrics, determine methods and drive actions to address.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or commensurate experience

  • Knowledge of demand planning or forecasting principles

  • 5+ years of planning or data science experience

  • Demonstrated ability with visualization software, specifically using Tableau or BI

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Highly analytical and motivated

  • Attention to detail

  • Consistently demonstrates individual and team leadership behaviors.

  • Self-motivated and highly organized.

  • High degree of curiosity and proven ability to deal with ambiguity.

  • Boston office based position; minimum commutable days to office is 3 days per week.

The salary for this position has a range of 97,494 to 146,242 annual based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The definitive compensation may vary in alignment with the selected candidate’s professional background, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
