Meta Deal Lead, Social Impact in Boston, Massachusetts

Summary:

Meta is seeking a Deal Lead to support key Social Impact efforts. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Facebook’s mission to unlock people’s limitless potential for good. You will work cross-functionally across product, engineering, marketing, partnerships, operations, policy and legal teams to help identity and drive opportunities toward our goals. This includes working with external partners that range from civil societies, NGOs, technology peers, and other organizations as the needs arise. You have experience with strategic negotiations with a proven record to execute on deals. You are very familiar with contractual, technical, and financial issues, and you can effectively communicate both up and down a management ladder. You are results-driven, and passionate about Meta's mission, platforms, technology. You enjoy working on interesting challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

Deal Lead, Social Impact Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, structure, and execute deals with potential partners who can advance our Social Impact efforts across global markets with a focus on civic integrity, health, climate, and charitable giving

  2. Develop a deep understanding of issues we are facing in the Social Impact space and identify new potential business partnership opportunities. Influence product decisions and partner selection based on market expertise

  3. Manage budget and pricing for deal opportunities

  4. Work alongside partnerships and policy managers to develop market landscape in specific domain areas (e.g. civic integrity, donations, etc.)

  5. Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal concerns necessary to execute the deals

  6. Advocate for the partners internally and for the business needs externally with the partner

  7. Engage and work cross-functionally across teams to accomplish team goals

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA or BS Degree

  2. Extensive experience in global business development experience – with proven track record doing deals with minimal direction, including drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts (outside of standard sales contracts)

  3. Experience in closing strategic software, services, content, and/or data deals

  4. Experience identifying and solving challenging business problems. Experience using data and market insights to drive actionable recommendations and influence business decisions

  5. Demonstrated cross-functional communication and relationship building experience with experience influencing technical teams, product managers, lawyers, and marketers

  6. Experience prioritizing and triaging partner-related issues with internal & external stakeholders

  7. Experience to effectively communicate with technical teams and across diverse cultures

  8. Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and highly organized with the experience to quickly learn about new technologies and distill information into actionable insights for internal stakeholders
