Facebook AI’s mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence through fundamental and applied research in open collaboration with the community. AI Ads Analytics is a team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers who are responsible for driving AI strategy for the next step function and curve bending advances in our Ads business. This includes advances in modeling, scaling, measurement and experimentation. We are passionate about collaborating with PM, ML engineers, and AI researchers to execute on big bets and we work closely with our partner teams (Ads ranking and delivery, Facebook App Monetization). Our strategy is to improve the quality and relevance of ads that people see in order to make them more meaningful and to enhance the value of these ads to advertisers. This executive will lead the Ads AI Analytics org to develop and execute strategies to help identify and build the next generation, state of the art technologies that will directly impact the long-term revenue for Facebook, driving billions of dollars. We are looking for a seasoned Data Science leader to drive Ads long term investment and technical track - new modeling techniques and new technologies to capture user interest in more meaningful ways. This industry is in the midst of a tectonic shift and this is a once in a generation opportunity to help shape the entire industry and how we think of Ads from a privacy and transparency perspective, while continuing to drive revenue and provide value to millions of advertisers.

Required Skills:

  1. Build long-term vision and strategy for the future of AI Ads technologies and privacy/transparency.

  2. Collaborate with product, engineering and research and other functional experts to shape a shared, data-driven strategic vision for ads across the company.

  3. Work with stakeholders across AI, Ads ranking, Experimentation Infrastructure, App monetization and ensure that the AI team is focused on the most valuable opportunities across this portfolio of focus areas.

  4. Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, data scientists, researchers, and other functional experts.

  5. Deeply understand the Ads ecosystem and define and analyze metrics that evaluate our trajectory and inform the success of our products.

  6. Cultivate culture of executional excellence and rigor.

  7. Support, develop and grow a healthy analytics organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years of experience in managing other team members and direct reports.

  2. 7+ years of experience doing quantitative analysis.

  3. Experience initiating and driving projects to completion autonomously.

  4. Experience communicating the results of analysis to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years of experience in an analytical role in a technology company, consulting, investment banking, or product management.

  2. 7+ years of experience with SQL or other programming languages.
