Job Description:

At Regions, the Data Products Partner defines and oversees the development of internal products/solutions that leverage Big Data and advanced analytics to increase the profitability and efficiency for a specific business unit(s) in the Bank. Manages the complete lifecycle of these internal data products from inception, development, assessment of success, and maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works with a business unit to identify areas where Big Data and advanced analytics solutions can be leveraged to solve specific business problems

  • Manages either a portfolio of data products for the business division or delivers higher degree of sophiscated data products solutions

  • Prioritizes product pipeline and create roadmap of products to be built

  • Develops business requirements that govern the development of the proposed solution

  • Identifies applicable data assets required to build the solution

  • Identifies features to build predictive models that are part of the solution

  • Participates in the build versus buy decision making process and vendor selection where applicable

  • Creates success criteria and measurement approach to assess the impact of deployed Data Products

  • Works with decision scientists to ensure model development strategy is consistent with goals and assisting in the validation of predictive models

  • Coordinates with Big Data architects to create necessary infrastructure and technology stacks to enable solution development

  • Oversees the solution acceptance testing process

  • Handles high priority strategic initiatives and determines the best products to be utilized

  • Partners with executive level management and guides multiple teams across business division, technology, digital, marketing and engineering

  • May participate in industry conferences related to solving financial services problems using advanced analytics/Big Data

  • Seen as thought and execution leader in the company for the data and analytics solutions

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or any other related quantitative field

  • Ten (10) years experience with a combination of quantitative/data science work and interfacing with business stakeholders

  • Financial Services experience

  • Executive level communication and partnership with senior leadership across multiple divisions in the company

  • Track record of delivering highly complex, innovative and forward leaning data products


  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or any other related quantitative field

  • Published internal or external articles on data analytics products

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the national range and level of the position

$96,157.50 USD


$159,910.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
