Nelnet Customer Communications Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

We are looking for an experienced communication professional to assist in the planning and execution of customer facing campaigns and projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid attention to detail and proven ability to produce high-quality output in line with set goals. The Customer Communications Specialist I will manage day-to-day customer-focused projects, collaborate with subject matter experts and write customer communications to ensure campaigns meet stakeholder needs and enhance the customer experience.

Colorado Candidates: Salary range for this role is $40-$60K

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with key stakeholders to define communication needs.

  2. Prepare customer communications that meet defined goals, including, but not limited to, developing drafts, incorporating feedback, and refining copy to the approval stage.

  3. Lead assigned customer communication campaigns and projects and handle the day-to-day execution of those campaigns and projects.

  4. Schedule and attend stakeholder meetings, as appropriate.

  5. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and notes; track meeting takeaways.

  6. Maintain a library of deliverables, including keeping communication calendars up-to-date.

  7. Establish project timelines and work to ensure key milestones are met and projects are delivered on time.

  8. Work with other internal teams to prepare project estimates.

  9. Review work from other team members and creative teams, as well as, obtain stakeholder approval for strategic direction, grammatical, technical and visual accuracy, and overall brand consistency.

  10. Serve as the primary point of contact with the email and digital marketing teams for stakeholders.

  11. Evaluate results of campaign, project, and/or customer communications plan along with the marketing manager of customer engagement.

  12. Compile information, secondary research, and/or other assigned projects and campaigns.

  13. Adhere to team processes and procedures, and create reusable processes that save time and eliminate duplication.

EDUCATION:

4-year degree in, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field

EXPERIENCE:

2-3 years in a marketing position

Possesses strong written and oral communication skills. Is strategic, detail-oriented, skilled at building team and stakeholder relationships, organized, skilled at multi-tasking, adaptable, quick to learn and can work independently.
