The Customer and Market Insights Analyst will manage insights studies across several Thermo Fisher Scientific Groups and Divisions. This person will utilize various information sources and research techniques to develop an in-depth understanding of markets, competitors, as well as customers’ perceptions, behaviors, and preferences across brands, products, and channels. The ideal candidate will be curious by nature and driven to discover impactful insights, delivering thoughtful recommendations through compelling presentations to ultimately influence business decisions and improve business value.
What will you do?
Plan, executive and analyze quantitative and qualitative voice of the customer (VOC) research studies utilizing a range of approaches to support brand, product, and channel marketing strategies.
Facilitate and moderate brainstorming and data synthesis sessions to produce insights that address key business issues.
Derive market insights, customer and competitor intelligence to advise all levels and business areas about market trends, business opportunities, and threats.
Transform research findings into meaningful insights and communicate recommendations across the organization to drive strategic decision making and mid- to long-range business planning.
Keep internal clients proactively informed on the progress of projects.
Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of different research methodologies, data analysis, and data visualization techniques.
Identify and investigate new research methods and data sources to continually improve the value of Insights to the organization.
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Marketing, Market Research, or related fields required.
1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the design, execution, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative research studies requited – including brand positioning and product research, concept testing, value proposition development, usability assessment, and campaign testing.
Demonstrated expertise in integrating and translating information into high-value planning insights.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience with SPSS or other statistical software.
Experience with advanced survey research tools such as Qualtrics or similar.
Experience in knowledge management and data visualization.
Professional exposure with Agile development practices such as Kanban and related tools such as Atlassian Jira or Microsoft Azure DevOps
