The Risk Product Manager is responsible for risk policy, procedures and strategies on various retail initiatives. The Risk Product Manager will serve as a Senior Analyst and subject matter expert for analyzing risk and managing risk related projects. Responsibilities include working as liaison between lines of business to analyze performance qualitatively and/or quantitatively, detecting problems and/or deviations, and recommend actions to mitigate losses and improve performance/profitability.


The Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing the credit risk strategy for Indirect Auto. This position is specifically charged with structuring and optimizing credit policies and segment specific guidelines in order to drive sustainable and profitable growth within risk appetite and regulatory guidance. This role requires strong, collaborative, and cross functional partnerships to ensure credit risk strategies and broader business line objectives are achieved. This position requires an individual that can provide strategic, tactical, and thought leadership to Consumer Risk Management and the Business Line. The Credit Risk Manager is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Leverage profit based credit risk analytics to expose risk adjusted opportunities

  • Structure and optimize credit guidelines for lending segments

  • Protect the bank’s assets while focusing on growth and efficiency

  • Set and manage risk tolerances for key performance indicators

  • Provide oversight of FLoD underwriting quality through on-going quality control testing

  • Implement step change improvements in reporting and MIS capabilities

  • Partner with Business Line to set and execute the credit risk strategy

  • Evaluate potential portfolio acquisitions

  • Provide direct support, participation, and oversight for developing, managing, and executing the credit risk strategy, which specifically includes functions such as understanding and leveraging credit-risk analytics to improve portfolio performance, selecting and optimizing risk management processes and strategies for various Indirect Auto initiatives, capturing and implementing recommendations from audits and other internal/compliance and external/regulatory assessment projects, and employing risk analysis and mitigation strategies

  • Partner with Business Line to recommend and vet new purchase initiatives, origination strategies, pricing campaigns, underwriting techniques, peer group comparisons, and process optimization; apply innovative quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to detect problems and improve reporting/MIS capabilities.

  • Provide oversight of FLoD underwriting quality through on-going quality control testing

  • Set and manage risk tolerances for key performance indicators

  • Deliver industry best practices, tools, guidance, and training to increase analytical capabilities and throughput

  • Demonstrate strong subject matter expertise and serve as an authority and credible challenge to management regarding credit performance, potential or emerging risks, and business conformity with risk appetite, credit culture, and policies

  • Provide a comprehensive range of risk management expertise requiring the creation, implementation of residual value forecasting, ALLL provisioning, and loss forecasting

This position has a critical role to play within the Indirect Auto Risk team. The person will function as an integral partner with the Business Line leadership team, participating in setting product line vision, strategy, and goals. A critical ingredient for success lies in the ability to form and leverage strong cross functional partnerships across the business in order to execute on Credit Risk’s strategy of delivering sustainable and profitable organic growth as well as fostering and embedding a strong risk culture.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • CFA, FRM (not required but preferred)

  • MS Office, SAS, SQL
