Creative Director

Location: This position will be remote.

As Creative Director, Art Direction, Innovation, you’ll report to the Director of Content and Creative, Innovation and own creative concepting and art direction for integrated B2B digital marketing and communications and new digital product prototypes produced for and by the Innovation Team. You also think strategically, supporting the development of marketing strategies, anticipating the next move, proactively looking for opportunities to add value and increase awareness, engagement, and advocacy, improving our stakeholders’ experiences while also driving success metrics for Innovation solutions and services that are transforming healthcare.

You will be embedded in the Innovation creative team, collaborating with your colleagues including creative directors for video and copywriting, designers, animators, and project managers and engage cross-functionally across all Innovation programs and projects to provide creative expertise, concept and pitch creative solutions to meet strategic objectives, execute art direction and design, and deliver against the Innovation Team’s integrated marketing communication needs, including designing creative assets for social media, web, mobile, video, and new digital product prototypes focused primarily on B2B audiences. You also will collaborate with our marketing and digital product partners across the organization to ensure that the creative work the team creates aligns to all messaging, design, and branding guidelines.

This is an execution focused role for someone who is skilled in driving effective, creative, compelling, high-quality B2B digital marketing and communications on time and budget. Key to your success will be grit, the ability to navigate the complexities of a large organization, the ability to bring a solution-oriented attitude to ambiguous, evolving situations, and a relentless drive to build awareness, engagement, adoption, and advocacy for Innovation team solutions and services. You will be looked to as a trusted partner and problem solver, determinedly helping all stakeholders overcome obstacles and guiding solutions forward. This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for participating in the strategic development of creative direction for the Innovation team and leads the internal execution of art direction.

  • Provides strategic and creative direction to the designers in the team.

  • Serves as the primary creative liaison for art direction for Innovation integrated marketing communications and new digital products.

  • Acts as the internal voice for promoting the team, brand, ideas, solutions, and skills.

  • Ensures all materials meet internal and external business, legal/compliance, and brand standards, and follows appropriate corporate standards, guidelines, and approval processes in all work.

  • Ultimately responsible for the overall quality of Innovation marketing communications work.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of common systems and processes across the enterprise.

  • Establishes operating parameters for engaging outside creative services.

  • Evaluates the qualities, capabilities, and value of outside creative services for implementing collateral that reinforces Innovation.

  • Responsible for publishing and ongoing refreshing of Innovation marketing communications graphic standards.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
