Cigna Creative Design Lead - CEO Communications (Graphics/Presentations) in Boston, Massachusetts

Role Summary

Cigna’s CEO Communications team is looking for a highly creative, organized, self-motivated and enthusiastic design lead to join the team. This design lead be responsible for crafting presentations and visual materials for executive leadership, primarily Cigna's CEO. This individual will have exceptional design skills and will be able to translate creative briefs into design concepts that are on brand. The successful candidate will be conceptual and creative, and capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


  • Demonstrated skill in creating and editing C-suite communication presentations, using PPT, Prezi, or other methodologies, the ability to convey complex information in clear graphics and visuals;

  • This role will also develop infographics and have proven expertise in visual storytelling;

  • Exceptional attention to detail, adaptability;

  • Have expert-level understanding of a breadth of digital tools and technology, as well as a commitment to staying informed of trends and developments in digital media and content creation within and outside the industry;

  • Strong work ethic, growth mindset and positive attitude;

  • Proven ability to be flexible and create materials quickly, at a high quality level, is an absolute must;

  • Ability to work with a high level of independence as well as collaboratively with a team;

  • Strong strategic communications mindset with experience delivering business results and measuring success;

  • Commitment to being a steward of the Cigna brand, responsible for maintaining consistency with regard to voice and visual identity across all channels and brand experiences;

  • Demonstrated executive presence.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Media, Communications or related discipline from an accredited college or university;

  • 6-8+ years of digital and print design experience, agency experience is highly desirable

  • Ability to shape presentation and visual content from scripts, remarks and other communications;

  • Proven design and layout aesthetic, and demonstrated skills in following and designing within established brand standards;

  • Driven, compassionate and curious – an excellent communicator with a positive attitude and stellar listening, analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Understanding of best practices in presentation design and brand identity;

  • Visual problem solver; able to take complex feedback and simplify through design;

  • Ability to balance great design with short turnaround times and concurrent deadlines;

  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with writers, planners, strategists, and business partners;

  • Required software skills: PPT, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office;

  • Prezi and Flash expertise desired;

  • A design portfolio will be required with an application submission.
