Description

As the Copywriter for Global Brand Design, Digital (based at Converse WHQ in Boston), you will be an expert at conveying compelling and exciting product stories across the digital ecosystem with a focus on converse.com and performance marketing in the North America and Western Europe Geographies. Under the leadership of a Senior Copywriter, you’ll be a key player in our digital design team. We need someone with a collaborative attitude, and a desire to help write the playbook as we go. The work will be challenging, never boring, and we expect you’ll be an integral part of the creative team bringing new digital experiences and solutions to the Converse brand.

The Copywriter for Global Brand Design, Digital reports to the Senior Copywriter for Global Brand Design, Digital.

What we’re looking for:

  • Passion for the Converse Brand and passion for creating high-quality work

  • Ability to be a self-starter and initiate projects to help form the vision of what it means to tell a story across the digital ecosystem

  • Collaborative attitude and passion for brainstorming creative solutions with other copywriters and visual designers

  • Creative skill set able to translate complex technical and business concepts and articulate into easy-to-understand communication pieces

  • Experience in writing in the digital space

  • Ability to socialize and present creative work to cross-functional partners

  • Ability to craft and develop digital content and storytelling with our Gen-Z consumer in mind

  • A team player with a positive, hard-working attitude, able to inspire and challenge other team members

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with a Design Director and Senior Copywriter, helps drive innovative solutions for digital storytelling across converse.com, email and additional digital touchpoints

  • Tell compelling product stories through copy, partnering with a senior copywriter and digital visual designers, to tell stories for converse.com and email

  • Foster and leverage relationships in product, merchandising, marketing and digital wholesale team to gather information

  • Actively gain knowledge of Converse’s products and processes, trends, the consumer and overall marketplace culture.

  • Works closely and cross-functionally with Site Experience, Brand Creative, Brand Communications & Media, and Geography teams to concept and execute seasonal global marketing campaigns for Converse.com

  • Utilizes exceptional writing skills and demonstrates innovation in creating original solutions

  • Communicates and presents concepts; creates presentation materials that effectively communicate

  • You will work with Project Managers to comprehend briefs, and execute high-quality work while meeting deadlines

  • Demonstrates knowledge of current trends

  • Shares knowledge, experience and skill with other design staff; works with design counterparts to ensure continuity across digital touchpoints

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Communications, Journalism or a related field

  • 2+ years of writing experience in a corporate or agency environment required, preferably as a copywriter for a major brand, e-commerce company or digital design agency

  • Expert command of the English language (including spelling, grammar, punctuation)

  • Creative, bold, and digitally savvy

  • A genuine passion for digital marketing and the online space with a strong knowledge of digital commerce and social media platforms

  • Experience writing compelling and creative email, editorial and other online marketing material

  • Must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, organized, detail oriented, collaborative and flexible

  • Able to multi-task

Additional Proficiencies:

  • Deep connection to streetwear culture and trend

  • Knowledge of footwear and/or apparel design construction and terminology

  • Fluent in additional languages
