Nike Converse, Senior Global Digital Copywriter (Open to remote work, except the following locations: SD, VT, and WV) in Boston, Massachusetts


  • Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Communications, Journalism or a related field

  • 6+ years of writing experience in a corporate or agency environment required, preferably as a copywriter for a major brand, e-commerce company or digital design agency

  • Passion for the Converse Brand and creating high-quality work

  • Expertise in writing for digital channels including mobile, email, paid social, etc

  • Ability to present creative work to cross-functional partners and senior leadership teams

  • Ability to be a self-starter and initiate projects to help form the vision of what it means to tell a story across the digital ecosystem

  • Collaborative attitude and passion for brainstorming creative solutions with visual designers

  • Creative skills able to translate complex technical and business concepts and articulate into easy-to-understand communication pieces

  • Extensive experience in writing in the digital and ecommerce space

  • Ability to craft and develop digital content and storytelling with our Gen-Z consumer in mind

  • Team player with a positive, hard-working demeanor, able to inspire and challenge team members

  • Expert command of the English language (including spelling, grammar, punctuation)

  • Strong knowledge of digital commerce, SEO writing, writing for different and multiple target audiences, and social media platforms

  • Experience writing compelling and creative email, editorial and other online marketing material

  • Must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, organized, detail oriented, collaborative and flexible

  • Able to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes

  • Knowledge of footwear and/or apparel design construction and terminology

  • Connection to streetwear culture and trends

  • Experience outside of North America a plus

Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate. For employees based in Colorado, this position starts at $114,000 per year. Information about benefits can be found here ( .

Check out all that creative? Our team designs that. Our team is made up of four different functions that work together: Creative Operations, Digital Content, Digital Design and Digital Copy. Together, we strive to build content that exemplifies our Brand Mission, Values, and Purpose (aka, our MVP). We develop content and storytelling that supports our digital direct commerce & wholesale ecosystem. We’re talking everything from, our B2B site, email campaigns, paid social, and much more. Specifically, this role will be focused in the digital design function.

As a team, we move our business goals forward through compelling brand stories, seasonal commercial stories and custom “Converse By You” content across our digital channels—all over the world.


We’re looking for a creative, bold, and digitally savvy Senior Copywriter to join our Global Digital Design team.

This role is ideal for a strong leader and collaborator with concepting and editing skills, digital copy expertise, and the ability to present and sell-in ideas to senior leadership. We’re seeking someone who is meticulous when it comes to copy editing, but also can write against Brand direction and style guides to ensure all writing meets the needs of our audience. The ideal candidate will see the big picture, but doesn’t miss the little details—as well as have an entrepreneurial mentality, a can-do attitude, and a desire to write the playbook as we go.

On any given day, your role will include working with designers, content strategists, product managers and more, to help tell exciting stories across the digital ecosystem—with an overall focus on leading product copy for, as well as our partner sites. You will jump from proofreading and coaching, to creating engaging narratives, subject lines and headlines. The work will be exciting, never boring, and we expect you’ll be a key member of the creative team bringing new digital experiences and solutions to the Converse brand.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Under the direction of the Sr Copy Manager, develops and drives innovative solutions for digital storytelling—from all digital touchpoints on, to our B2B site

  • Partners with Designers and Experience Strategists to transform campaign copy into digitally led stories—always adhering to Brand tone of voice and style guides

  • Develop a deep understanding of our overall business goals and how to apply them to the everyday work

  • Know our audience and strategically write to the different audience segmentations

  • Helps set the seasonal copy concept based off of larger Brand concepts

  • Plan talent interviews on seasonal shoots, and conceptualize how this content flows into our storytelling

  • Writes against Brand direction and Tone of Voice style guides to ensure all writing is meeting expectations along with performing fundamental skills of copy editing

  • Cultivates relationships in product, merchandising, brand team, marketing and digital wholesale team to gather information

  • Actively gain knowledge of Converse’s products and processes, trends, the consumer and overall marketplace culture

  • Works cross-functionally with Site Experience, Brand and Geography teams to help concept and complete seasonal global marketing campaigns for

  • Applies outstanding writing skills and demonstrates innovation in crafting original solutions

  • Communicates and presents concepts; builds presentation materials that effectively communicate most important message

  • Be able to brief and collaborate with outside partners to implement campaigns and deliver assets

  • Help conceptualize A/B testing strategies to build foundation of best practices

  • In collaboration with team, maintains style consistency; checks for accuracy, spelling and clarity

  • Shares knowledge, experience and skill with coworkers; works with design counterparts to ensure continuity across digital touchpoints

  • Helps mentor writers, across multiple projects with a clear voice and an unbending creative rigor


In addition to joining a team of copywriters and editors, you will be collaborating daily with the other functions on our Global Digital Design team (Creative Operations and Digital Design). You’ll also spend time with the Experience Strategy, Brand, Product Managers and our UX teams.
