Wayfair Contract Production Designer, Perigold in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><strong>Perigold</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">, Wayfair’s luxury brand, is seeking a 6 month </span><strong>Contract Production Designer </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">to help bring our catalog program to life.</span></p>

<p><strong>What You’ll Do:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Under the guidance of the Design Manager and Catalog Designer, support a multiple-book print catalog program&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Organize, prepare, and deliver pixel-perfect production-ready assets for catalogs ranging from 52 - 100 pages</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ensure printer-provided specifications are faithfully applied to all assets, identifying where </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">specs are unclear or inconsistent</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with Imagery for retouching and imagery prep as needed</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with Catalog Production Manager and creative partners to help develop and improve production processes and increase efficiencies&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Help build our catalog process collaboratively from the ground up, working with the team through the “grey” spaces&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Engage in thoughtful critiques with creative peers and cross-functional partners</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Do all of the above in a fast-paced environment adhering to production schedule</span></li>

<p><strong>Who You Are:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Minimum 3-5 years experience production design experience with catalog or a magazine publication (digital or print) with an understanding of editorial design principles. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, visual communication, or related field</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">An affinity for elevated typography and an aesthetic appropriate to a luxury brand&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">A sincere interest in the retail industry</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">An expert collaborator and someone who works well with other writers and designers.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong ability to articulate your ideas and opinions, an advocate for production best practices&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Known for your meticulous attention to detail, ability to multitask, and self-advocate as needed.</span></li>
