About the Content Marketing Manager
Verndale has a great opportunity for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our growing and fast-moving team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the qualified candidate will be responsible for owning the creation of content across a variety of media with the goal of driving engagement with Verndale for clients, partners, and prospects. This person will be adept at tailoring communication for the manager as well as the C-suite and be able to drill down into the nitty-gritty of focused verticalized messaging. You are a scrappy, natural storyteller that understands user journeys and how to engage readers/viewers at each stage of the buying cycle.
Manage the content/editorial calendar and own the creation of: Blog Posts; Whitepapers; eBooks; Videos; Podcasts; Research Reports; Infographics; Sales Collateral; Case Studies; Press Releases and Web Pages
Ensure content is on message and delivers value to the target audience.
Meet or exceed assigned deadlines for content creation.
Adhere to Verndale brand guidelines.
Assist with customer, competitor, and partner research.
Review web content and update as needed.
Respond to press inquiries, press releases, award/speaking submissions.
A portfolio of content that demonstrates storytelling for a variety of professional levels, industries and media formats.
Ability to work across levels of an organization (manage up as well as down).
Creative thinker. Able to turn creative ideas into consumable content.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A passion for social media and digital marketing.
Comfortable with creative applications including Adobe Creative Suite.
Foundational video editing skills to produce quick-turn content.
Experience managing internal and external production partners to meet timelines and budget.
4+ years’ experience in a creative marketing position.
BA in Marketing or similar.
Experience supporting CMS/DXP/Commerce/PIM/MDM products or services a plus but not a requirement.
