Meta Concept Artist in Boston, Massachusetts

Summary:

Required Skills:

Concept Artist Responsibilities:

  1. With a focus on environment, prop and world design

  2. define and evolve artistic direction, vision and high production standards within the team in direct collaboration with creative, technical and production leaders.

  3. Collaborate on the creation of style guides and related materials for internal and external teams.

  4. Communicate goals and manage expectations with cross-functional internal and external partners.

  5. Create production concepts and polished 2D marketing assets.

  6. Use industry standard and proprietary tools to create content.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3 years industry experience in games, entertainment design or other 3D interactive media.

  2. Proficient in industry standard art tools and the knowledge to work between 2D and 3D tool sets such as Photoshop, Maya, Modo, ZBrush or similar.

  3. Demonstrated knowledge to conceptualize ideas through development from rough thumbnails to polished final deliverables, and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time content.

  4. Understanding of mood, lighting, form, shape and silhouette in regards to composition.

  5. Experience adopting and working within different art styles.

  6. Organizational skills with the experience working on multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines and expectations.

  7. Experience receiving and giving constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Basic understanding of standard game engines and editors such as Unity or Unreal and associated art pipelines.

  2. Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including but not limited to: figure drawing, landscape painting, and illustration.

  3. Knowledge of emerging technologies and keen interest in VR.
