What You'll Do

We are Americas Marketing and Communications team. Our role and purpose is to inspire people to prefer, choose and advocate Cisco.

We’re looking for a modern storyteller and strategic thinker, the communications manager creates customer briefings, keynote presentations, customer success stories, videos, blog posts, podcasts, produces all hands meetings, social media posts, and other creative content. You may support a business segment SVP in the development of their thought leadership platform or you may create a mix of compelling content for others to utilize. The audience is at the center of your strategy to build engaging, creative content, delivered through a comprehensive mix of modern formats. Collaborating across boundaries, you will create locally relevant stories that engage audiences in support Cisco’s key messages and business priorities.

  • Narrative Development—Segment or business narrative and platform development

  • Integrated Communications Planning—Collaborate with Sales leadership and partner across Marketing and other organizations to build a strategic communications plan that drives measurable business results.

  • Modern Storytelling with Compelling Content Development—You are a passionate about storytelling through a comprehensive mix of modern formats and compelling content that drives actionable behavior

  • Data-Based Decision Making—Objectively focus on audience perceptions and engagement in our storytelling and content. Use data to make decisions and continuously elevate the executive with modern communications.

  • Social media profile development to support executive thought leadership and content amplification to support key business priorities.

  • Track and report communication success metrics

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of experience in creating communications platforms and content development

  • You have strong Market/industry/competitor knowledge

  • You have a BS or MS degree in Communications or related discipline

  • You have strong experience in building a modern mix of content

  • You have an innate ability to tell compelling stories

  • You have exceptional communication and organizational skills

  • You have the ability to develop content based on feedback and tight deadlines

  • You are passionate, positive and high energy
