State Street Communications and Human Capital Manager, AVP in Boston, Massachusetts

Responsibilities

  • Communications – Create a communications strategy, develop content, and manage communication channels for the Compliance Department. Key responsibilities will include: management of Department town halls, executive-level meetings, working groups, and employee communications (newsletters, surveys, forums, etc.)
  • Communications – Manage and develop tools and associated processes to help leaders manage communications and facilitate dialogue with business partners and employees (dashboards, presentations, SharePoint etc.), including the implementation of a metrics/reporting mechanism to demonstrate effectiveness
  • Human Capital – Develop and manage a departmental talent strategy, inclusive of employee mobility, diversity, skills training and intern/rotational programs
  • Human Capital – Manage, track and report on departmental headcount and associated demographics/composition. Face-off directly with Human Resources to drive departmental strategy as required

Background/Experience

  • 5+ years relevant experience, preferably in a Marketing, Communications, HR, or CAO function
  • Experience managing departmental communications, talent and diversity programs, specifically within a global, corporate environment
  • Previous Compliance experience preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Very strong relationship management skills; comfortable working directly with Sr. Management
  • Self-starter with high degree of initiative; operates effectively in the absence of detailed guidance
