Boston University COMMUNICATION & DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST II, IS&T, Project Management in BOSTON, Massachusetts

Are you an IT professional with who excels at communication? Are you able to translate the technical jargon of your colleagues to accessible language that anyone can understand? We are seeking a Communication & Documentation Specialist II to join our team to design, build, proofread, and maintain communication and documentation for Information Services and Technology (IS&T). This includes website, knowledge base, SharePoint, newsletters, social media, and other resources that support IS&T and facilitate excellent service for both internal and external clients.

  • Represent Communication and Documentation on project teams, as assigned, to facilitate communications (both client-facing and internal) and documentation that align with project goals.

  • Coordinate distribution of communications for IS&T, including message development, graphic design, editing, and approval.

  • Design engaging content on our websites, digital signage, and social media to raise awareness of the department and what we offer.

Required Skills

  • B.A./B.S., required (or equivalent experience)

  • Three to Five years of related experience

  • Previous experience with developing IT user documentation and communications

  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency

  • Excellent organization skills, ability to balance multiple projects and priorities

  • Social media and/or graphic design experience preferred
