Job Description

As the leader of the IBM Cloud Channel Center of Excellence (CoE), this manager will have the following primary responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of IBM Cloud WW channel and portfolio SMEs.

  2. Define the IBM Cloud portfolio strategy for Business Partner (BP) Sales, with a heightened focus on driving BP success in IBM’s BP Led/Commercial client segment. 3. Lead the team in working with Offering Management to assess the BP Readiness for all key offerings in IBM Cloud and recommending modification is not BP-ready.

  3. Ensure effective project management in the identification, prioritization and execution of actions to address high impact offering readiness gaps.

  4. Lead the team in the creation of BP sales plays designed to build stronger volume and revenue growth to the business and monitor the effectiveness of the plays.

  5. Keep a pulse on the Q+1, Q+2 health of the IBM Cloud business for the channel using pipeline metrics and other tools, recognizing trends, anticipating challenges and acting on those shifts with a sense of urgency.

  6. Represent the business to the senior leadership team across channel, sales and offering management.

  7. Provide support to Geo channel leadership teams as the CoE SME, host and present in webinars, broadcast and events involving IBM Business Partners, Global Business Partner organization and Geo Channel participants.

  8. Coordinate with enablement on priorities, plans and execution of BP enablement, providing them with insight and requirements for effective BP enablement.

  9. Create continuing, close relationship with the offering management teams to ensure they understand the BP-unique aspects in going to market and accommodate those aspects in their administrative and content of offerings.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5 +years direct sales or offering management experience

  • 3+ years management experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment

  • Experience with Hybrid cloud technologies
