The CSG Shared Success team is hiring a Consumer Goods Cloud Architect for our strategic and scale customers in AMER and EMEA who use CG Cloud products. Our Cloud Architects are laser-focused on solving the most relevant customer challenges including reference architectures, solution orientation, field readiness, early adopter customer use cases, and developing/delivering standard methodologies content for product and feature implementation.

This is a customer facing role with at least 65% of your time focused on customer engagements (mostly remotely). You will improve value for our top and highest-potential customers, working strategically alongside our Product, Sales and CSG teams to drive clear business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a customer-centric mentality, willing to go above and beyond for the customer and break down barriers to ensure customer success.

What type of engagements can you expect to be involved in? You’d typically work on 5 - 7 customers at a time and help our field teams through your expertise. Some engagements last a few days while others can last a few months. Sample engagements:

  • Provide design expertise, implementation guidance and standard methodologies to our consumer goods customers;

  • Build deep technical expertise on our new product innovations including those products that align with Consumer Goods Cloud such as Salesforce Maps, Salesforce Mobile and CRM Analytics;

  • Help our customers use our new innovations and capabilities;

  • Provide consultation and recommendations to a customer needing to incorporate consumer goods cloud into their overall Salesforce blueprint; and

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on customer’s path towards transformation.

As a product champion you specialize in turning early adopter use cases into successful reference implementations, demonstrating your deep product specialization, close relationship with Product Management, and knowledge of the solutions, reference architectures, and implementation standard methodologies that will drive customer success.

Your deep exposure to how customers are solving problems makes you a valuable source of insight to our product partners and will help influence product roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing these takeaways with our partners in TMP (Technology Marketing Product), Alliances, Customer Success Group and beyond, to help further drive customer success, product adoption, and customer transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish Trusted Advisor status with Business and Technology partners; drive the creation of application and architectural design documents which use Salesforce.com standard methodologies

  • Drive efforts to scale knowledge within CSG Success and with our ecosystem by being a SME on CG Cloud

  • Advise our customers and their SI Partners on technical solution designs and recommendations that bring to bear these products to solve the sophisticated use cases, and deliver maximum business value

  • Lead formal presentations, webinars and other learning events tailored to field delivery partners (advisory, delivery, GTM, etc.) to showcase customer use cases and reference architectures

  • Be an effective presenter to implementation teams and command the attention of C levels to earn their trust through style and conversation.

  • Establish mutually beneficial relationships with product owners and team members. Collaborate with the Technology, Marketing & Product organization, and Customers to support early adopter programs.

  • Be a voice of the customer champion and provide insight to TMP on future release needs and challenges.

  • Be a leader with vision in the current and potential uses of these products for our Industries customers.

Experience

  • As CG Cloud is a relatively new product, we are looking for someone with deep expertise in Core + Platform + Analytics who wants to specialize in this new area as the SME.

  • Sophisticated implementation experience with focus area products

  • Authority in assessment of business objectives, formulating solution options, and driving collaborator support.

  • Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of focus area products and how our customers use the platform to run their business.

  • Thorough individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.

  • Customer facing implementation experience and advisory depth with more than one industry.

  • Creative solution finding including technological, business & organizational aspects.

Skills Required:

  • This is a technical role with a strong focus on data model design, data volume estimation and optimization, and strong Salesforce administrator skills

  • Expertise in Salesforce Core, Platform and Analytics products.

  • Experience with Consumer Goods / CPG industry and a desire to be vertically focused in Consumer Goods area.

  • Thrives in a changing environment. Adaptable.

  • Interacts well with both technical and non-technical customers, attains relevant technical and business requirements, analyzes information, and advises on comprehensive solutions.

  • Strong proficiency toward communicating complex business and technical concepts using visualization and modeling aids.

  • A passion for continuous new learning to become one of the earliest authorities on new product capabilities, the use cases they solve for, and the standard methodologies from early adopter implementations

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience and evangelize standard methodologies.

  • Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter, prioritize, multitask and perform effectively under pressure.
