The Opportunity:

As a Business Planning & Analysis Consultant you will lead marketing portfolio project planning and analysis for the enterprise-wide growth driven marketing organization, and support achievement of strategic objectives and commitments. In this highly visible role, the candidate will be expected to partner and influence leaders across the marketing organization and distribution channels, to streamline processes, make continuous improvements, and execute on change management. To succeed in this role the candidate should have analytical mindset, with attention to detail paired with the ability to see the bigger picture, driving action to accomplish operational goals.

The Team:

This position reports into the Head of Marketing Strategy and Planning. Our team is responsible for leading strategic financial and operational projects and processes across the marketing organization, working closely with marketing leaders, business architecture and continuous improvement teams, finance and distribution channel partners.

The Impact :

The Business Planning & Analysis Consultant , will:

  • Manage quarterly and annual business planning process within the marketing organization, ensuring adequate prioritization and resourcing to achieve objectives and commitments

  • Manage/ coordinate complex high impact projects and problems, facilitates problem solving sessions and drives decision making. Establishes decision making frameworks

  • Lead the planning, execution and follow-up on a series of continuous improvement assessments

  • Design, operationalize, and manage processes to streamline workflows, align responsibilities and resources, and achieve cross-departmental efficiencies and speed to market. Applies agile methodology as applicable

  • Partner and influence leaders across the organization to drive dialogue and identify gaps in achieving strategic objectives

  • Develop and execute strategies to build and increase leadership support for change

  • Communicate up, down, and across the organization to ensure transparency, alignment, and advocacy. Cultivate a network and create compelling stories to build One team culture with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Provide strategic insights through detailed quantitative/qualitative analysis and translate strategic priorities into actionable plans; partner in execution to ensure the right KPIs/ success criteria quantify impact of initiatives

  • Provide insightful analysis to senior leadership, translating complex data into an easy to understand analysis

  • Supports the development of operational and financial measurement framework for marketing investment decision making and spend optimization. Perform business case analysis

  • Partner with the Marketing analytics team to develop operational metrics, monitor, report and analyze key performance indicators

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Finance or Economics major, or related Degree)

  • 7+ years directly relevant work experience in financial services or insurance company, preferably with multiple distribution channels

  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization and experience creating presentations for senior management

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree

  • 5+ years experience in supporting leading marketing organizations, marketing financial and operational analysis and frameworks to optimize spend

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills

  • Proven experience in managing multiple, complex projects/programs

  • Process and detail-oriented with the ability to think holistically and strategically about a business

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with multiple levels of leadership

  • Ability to challenge the status quo, and experience in transforming processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness

  • Embraces teamwork dynamics and thrives in a collaborative working environment

  • Familiarity with development and communication of the story behind the operational and financial results, drivers, standard ratios, unit costs, other metrics, etc.

  • Intellectual curiosity to continue learning and adding breadth and depth to understanding including product pricing, key competitors, etc.

  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful individual who can work with limited oversight. Takes ownership and is results driven

  • Sound business judgment in an environment of rapid change - ability to respond to changes in direction, tight deadlines, and high-pressure situations.
