Microsoft Corporation Business Planner in Boston, Massachusetts

The Azure Business Planning team is looking for a talented individual to join a great team focused on creating business models to drive revenue for Azure. As a Business Planner on the Core Infrastructure Business Planning team, you will own the business strategy and pricing models for a range of offerings across Azure Storage including Blobs, Files, Disks and others. The business models you build will impact almost all customers using Azure as nearly every workload on Azure requires some form of storage.

Responsibilities

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Setting the business model strategy, SKU line-ups, pricing, and service meters where appropriate for our storage offerings.

  • Leading cross-functional teams to create, implement, and refine business models.

  • Partnering with engineering, product marketing, finance, and other teams to drive cross-discipline initiatives for exceptional business results.

  • Defining and delivering the business model decisions for any new or updated storage offerings, including launching new services.

  • Developing key metrics, forecasts, and reporting in partnership with finance and engineering to monitor business performance.

  • Ensuring all internal and external business model and packaging content is optimized for customers while driving field education on our storage offerings.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a track record of working with a large group of internal partners to define and execute strategic initiatives with passion, precision, and excellence. The ideal candidate will also have excellent analytical problem-solving skills, be able to develop solutions to meet competing requirements, and use data to drive decision making. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must to drive projects and build executive buy-in and support for key projects. A minimum of five years in product marketing, finance, and/or business planning required. BS/BA degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
