Wayfair Business Operations Manager, Supplier Advertising & Merchandising Services in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><strong>This is a hybrid position with 4 days in our Boston HQ.&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>Supplier Advertising is responsible for the strategy and sales of self-service sponsored listings (Wayfair Sponsored Products, WSP), on-site and off-site display ads (Display), Wayfair Sponsored Shops (WSS), and Supplier-funded marketing (SFM, comprising event sponsorships, email, print catalog, etc.). Our mission is to drive commercial and operational excellence across a suite of advertising offerings and advise suppliers how to use these effectively to grow their businesses on our sites.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We are looking for a Business Operations Manager to offer data-driven solutions to problems posed by stakeholders across the company and optimize processes across our commercial efforts. Our work is challenging, high-impact, and heavily relied upon for strategic decision-making. This role provides significant exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to work with a variety of cross-functional partners across Commercial and Technology organizations. A successful Business Operations Manager is driven, flexible, able to think on their feet and solve ambiguous problems creatively. They have demonstrated skill with technical tools and processes through project management, data analysis, or other similar experience. Business Operations Managers must be detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>What you’ll do:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<li><strong>Planning &amp; Forecasting</strong>: You will lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for our Supplier Advertising business unit. This includes building and maintaining a full bottom-up P&amp;L, forecasting revenue, sales, headcount, etc.</li>

<li><strong>Performance Management</strong>: You will provide accurate, timely, and actionable reporting and business metrics to leadership, highlighting key insights into spend trends with meaningful and actionable insights&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>Business Partnership</strong>: You will build strong relationships and collaborate with business leaders to become a trusted advisor who highlights risks, spots opportunities, and builds simulations and sensitivity analyses&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>Sales Enablement</strong>: You will develop and implement Commercial processes for sales teams, specialists, and other representatives by researching and analyzing data to create sales forecasts and creating and managing automation tools to increase sales process efficiency&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>Platform Operations</strong>: You will implement and manage Payment and CRM tools to reduce friction, maximize opportunities and customer relationships, as well as identify customers and sales opportunities by analyzing sales data and customer trends&nbsp;</li>

<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p><strong>What you’ll need:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or other quantitative field required</li>

<li>5+ years of work experience in a relevant field, ideally in business operations, corporate finance, sales strategy, startup/tech environment, and/or advertising industry&nbsp;</li>

<li>Strong leadership skills to evaluate ongoing sales team performance and provide training and coaching when necessary</li>

<li>Communication skills for effective verbal and written communications with sales teams, operations specialists, technology departments and executive leadership&nbsp;</li>

<li>Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for process improvements and develop and implement new strategies</li>

<li>Financial skills and business acumen to build a full P&amp;L</li>

<li>Technology skills to utilize CRM and database software tools in daily tasks</li>

<li>Research and reporting skills to analyze data and customer trends to create revenue forecasts</li>

<li>Proficient knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets required&nbsp;</li>

<li>Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, and Google Cloud Platform, such as BigQuery, Looker, Looker Studio, or similar is preferred, but not required&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
