As part of the Global Partner and Retail Media (GPRM) team, PromoteIQ provides intelligent vendor marketing solutions for the next generation of e-commerce. Our platform helps retailers implement, automate, and scale their brand-funded digital vendor marketing programs. We sit at the intersection of marketing and e-commerce and have a singular mission of empowering retailers and brands to maximize their e-commerce performance.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analytics Specialist to join the GPRM Analytics team to manage and lead marketplace analytics for the PromoteIQ business. The role will require the individual to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Marketplace, and Product teams to build, share and track the business. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building solutions leveraging advertising data, intellectually curious, a fast learner, analytical, comfortable with ambiguity, able to work independently and able to focus on details while thinking strategically.


  • Be empowered to innovate, build, and deliver solutions requiredscale the PIQ business and ensure we are positioned to leverage data, intelligence, and predictive modeling to manage and grow the business in an agile and proactive way.

  • Require a balance of leading, doing and influencing, in partnership withMarketplace,Finance, ENG, Business Developmentand more, and will depend upon a combination of technical and analytical skills to drive value and impact to our business and for our retail partners.

  • Build business insights & reporting including (but not limited to) understanding the current operating point of the business for PIQ, emerging trends andidentify and understand retailer issues.

  • Play an integral role setting the forecast/budget and target with the finance team:Partner with Engineering, Finance and Network Demand to establish and refine methodologies.

  • Lead regular cadence of marketplace performance discussions

  • Report and share insight to the Leadership team through Monthly Business Reviews and other forums to drive rich discussion and enable effective decision making and action.

  • Using data-exploration techniques to discover new opportunities and diagnose existing current performance.

  • Prototype analytic improvements/ insightful reports that help us understand the business and the impact on monetization better.

  • Develops solutions to resolve the daily analytic needs that help us in setting the dials and levers and running the business.

  • Experience usingPowerBIor other data BI/visualization tools and Strong Excel skills

  • Knowledge of advertisingeconomics, marketplace dynamics and ideally the relationship between Publisher, Advertiser, User.

  • Strong communicator and active listener who has successfully established open and bi-directional feedback mechanisms and who actively seeks constructive feedback.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets



Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 4+ years experience in media, marketing, or advertising on the client or agency side

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years campaign management experience, digital marketing experience, and/or product, project, or site management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 6+ years experience in media, marketing, social marketing, or advertising on the client or agency side.
