The Opportunity

We’re growing and our clients deserve the best. As a Business Analytics Consultant, you’ll have an opportunity to use your data and analytics skills to support our MMUS Product growth strategy. You will be responsible for sourcing critical data required to establish key business metrics and deliver impactful analysis to our customers. The Team

As part of MMUS, the MassMutual Product organization delivers retail, worksite and investment products/solutions to support MassMutual’s multiple distribution organizations. Our Strategy & Planning team owns the supporting functions for our product development life cycle and delivers data and analytics for our Insurance, Annuity and Investment solutions. Within MMUS Product we place a premium on our creating a diverse and inclusive team, aligning priorities with key markets and distribution channels, while nurturing partnerships with key stakeholders based in transparency and accountability.

The Impact:

As a Business Analytics Consultant, your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following in order to deliver insightful information to leadership for use in making strategic decisions.

• Responsible for the collection, organization, analysis, and dissemination of significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Manage data across various sources and understand relationships among data elements.

• Profile, categorize, and analyze quality of data and derive meaningful insights through presentations and visualizations.

• Develop knowledge and technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

• Organize and prioritize client requests, interpret data requirements, and perform timely assessment for delivery and analysis.

• Measure, monitor and analyze key performance indicators.

• Produce/deliver results through Business Intelligence tools.

• Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external business partners to collaborate in the areas of data sourcing and reporting.

The Minimum Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's degree

• 3+ years of experience in a reporting and/or analytics position

• 1+ year of experience working with large data sets, preferably sales or insurance product data

• 3+ years experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint

• 3+ years experience collaborating with internal and external business partners, with the ability to effectively communicate data findings

The Ideal Qualifications

• Previous experience analyzing life insurance and annuity products

• Experience in the application of data governance and controls

• Experience with data visualization tools such as tableau

• Previous experience utilizing SQL
