The Microsoft Global Media Team is responsible for planning, activating and fiscally managing all media spend across Microsoft. The team works across a broad group of internal Microsoft product and business groups, driving business impact by leading the development of innovative and world-class media strategies designed to meet our stakeholders’ unique business goals. The team’s responsibilities extend to driving market intelligence and contributing to Microsoft’s media innovation across media channels and ad tech.

We are seeking a passionate and inspired media professional to join the Commercial Media Team to run the broad reach advertising effort against our B2B audiences. This position will be managing paid media strategy, planning and execution for Microsoft’s brand, across Microsoft’s commercial offerings. You should have a growth mindset, be curious, eager to learn by embracing diverse perspectives, and have expertise across the media landscape. This is an opportunity for a seasoned media veteran who has confidence in proactive planning and vision setting, strategic development, collaboration across many different stakeholder groups and storytelling at the right altitude.

Responsibilities

Help Microsoft achieve commercial success across business goals by leading the development of innovative media strategies and plans, working with our agency to ensure accurate media execution and optimization, and partner with analytics leads to deliver campaign reporting and insights
Build strong relationships with internal Microsoft marketing teams, engineering teams, and product teams to learn and understand their business objectives and campaign goals.
Inspire other team members to collaborate effectively together and work across campaigns to develop a seamless end user journey
Apply your knowledge of paid media to recommend plans that deliver efficient and effective media mixes, innovation and testing that achieve campaign goals
Bring ideas on how to advance Microsoft’s thought-leadership and testing within ad/media/data to combat industry challenges
Ensure fiscal compliance by partnering closely with internal and agency finance and media partners to ensure all campaigns stay within budget parameters and comply with finance requirements
Ensure accurate campaign creative delivery, tagging, naming conventions, and brand safety protocols by coordinating closely with stakeholders, ad operations, and agency teams
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years’ experience in media, marketing, or advertising directly at a client or at an agency
Experience creating strategy for media approach, in addition to developing and executing media plans across digital and traditional media channels including: Display, Paid Social, SEM, Out of Home and Broadcast
Ability to exhibit strong communication and storytelling competency
Preferred Qualifications
College BA/BS or equivalent professional experience
Experience communicating and presenting at an executive level
Proven competency working across diverse teams with varied business goals
Ability to partner and lead external agency relationships
Able to deal with ambiguity and continued change
Demonstrates a problem-solving first approach
Understands advertising / media industry trends
Believes that success is a shared accountability across the whole team
Knowledge of the B2B media landscape
