The Role: Associate Director, Relationship Management

The Team: The S&P Global Corporate Commercial Team is responsible for optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes for 1,200 of the largest companies in the U.S & Canada. We are a close-knit team and collaborate continually to brainstorm solutions that help our clients overcome their complex business challenges. The team is competitive, fun, energetic, and intellectually curious. We’re seeking a qualified relationship manager to provide white-glove service to our existing clients, while expanding the relationship into new products and offerings, as well as to new clients.

You will partner with the largest companies in North America while being inspired by our team of like-minded individuals

Responsibilities:

· Provide high touch client service to communicate S&P’s value proposition and achieve client retention by providing high value to the client relationship.

· Navigate complex organizations, understand client’s culture, identify internal and external decision makers, and influence their decision-making process.

· Leverage diagnostic communication and negotiation skills to gain user acceptance and optimize revenue.

· Develop and implement creative sales strategies for clients across S&P’s sustainable finance product portfolio.

· Develop and implement creative sales strategies for clients across S&P’s cyber risk product portfolio.

· Understand product offerings across other S&P Global divisions and generate cross-divisional referrals.

· Track customer & industry developments and trends and respond accordingly.

· Diagnose and understand customer problems and identify ways to help clients address them.

What We’re Looking For:

· Strong presentation and communication skills with outstanding relationship management and sales track record.

· Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in teams.

· Proven record of maintaining strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, and elevating their customer experience.

· Exceptional skills in listening to clients while articulating ideas and complex information in a clear and structured manner.

· Sound ability to analyze client information quickly, respond logically, and use data to influence client purchase decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, or related field preferred)

· Experience in or knowledge of the Debt Capital Markets

· 5+ years of successful sales and relationship management experience

· Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting

· Experience with CRM software (Salesforce)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of finance and accounting principles

· Knowledge of sustainable finance

· Knowledge of cyber risk

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates) :

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,300 to $143,800. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
