MCPHS University Associate Director of International Admission in Boston, Massachusetts
Reporting to the Executive Director of Global Strategies, the Associate Director of International Admission contributes to the development, planning and execution of international recruitment initiatives for all student populations including undergraduate, transfer and graduate students in order to ensure the University meets enrollment goals for assigned regions.The Associate Director supports the oversight of organization, management, budget and reporting of international recruitment. The Associate Director will be responsible for relationship building with key actors in a given market, who will positively impact short term market growth and long-term image establishment.
Represents MCPHS University at high schools, college fairs, college nights and on-and off-campus events as needed, and participates in the formulation of events (both in-person and virtual) when appropriate
Drives the analysis and development of certain key markets in North America through brand management and relationship building such as working with stakeholders within abroad marketing companies, agencies, as well as universities andcolleges abroad
Interviews prospective students and effectively conducts pre-admission counseling to ensure a thorough understanding and acceptance of MCPHS University and its programs
Monitors the flow of students from all regions as they move through the various stages of the admission funnel
Oversees all phases of international student file reviews, including verifying finances and TOEFL/IELTS scores, reviewing transcripts and ensures smooth transitions for enrolling students
Builds and maintains relationships with secondary schools, independent counselors, university academic advisors and study abroad agencies
Creates travel reports and market white papers to secure information flow to the rest of the International Admission Team
Leads calling campaigns, webinars and yield events for the US and/or in market regions
Tracks marketing campaigns and trends within markets
Provides support and leadership to the other recruiters of all other international regions in reaching assigned targets
Position is primarily remote, however frequent work days in Boston and Worcester campuses, as well as international travel, will be necessary throughout the year. Travel outside the United States approximately 3-4 times per semester for 1-2 weeks at a time.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
A minimum of three years’ experience in admissions, international recruitment or similar
Proficiency with virtual meeting software platforms, Office 360 (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Notebook)
Experience with Salesforce or a similar Client Relations Management System
Must be goal or results-oriented
Excellent coordination, project management and time management competency
Logical and detail-oriented organizational skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be available to travel 40% of the time
Ability to communicate with students from different cultural backgrounds
Strong public speaking skills and the ability to present the University in a positive way to diverse populations
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to multitask and effectively function in a fast-paced and team enviroment
Comfortable working under pressure of time and numbers/targets
Proficiency in a foreign language
Experience in international student recruitment with success in meeting application/enrollment targets
Experience managing Salesforce reports is preferred
Standing, sitting, manual dexterity, ability to move between offices and floors of buildings
Ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure
Ability to be physically in attendance at designated worksite during certain scheduled work hours, during some campus events, and to work some evenings and weekends (either remote or on-campus)
Normal range of vision and hearing (with or without correction)
Ability to lift up to 5-10 lbs
