Chewy Associate Director, Brand Marketing in Boston, Massachusetts
Chewy is looking for an Associate Director, Brand Marketing to join our team in Boston, MA or Dania Beach, FL. This role will partner with Consumer Insights and various Chewy private brand marketing teams to develop strategies for go-to-market execution that are consistent with the Chewy master brand architecture, positioning, and messaging. Additionally, this role will drive and support key internal and external Chewy brand initiatives, such as target audience definition and messaging/measurement frameworks. The ideal candidate will leverage quantitative and qualitative research to develop strategic insights that will inform briefs designed to drive brand familiarity, relevance, purchase, and loyalty.
What You’ll Do:
Play a key role in Chewy’s master and private brand strategy development (e.g. positioning, architecture, visual identity), go-to-market planning, and execution.
Leverage market insights, competitive intelligence, and consumer insights to write comprehensive brand strategy briefs, optimize campaigns, and inform future campaigns.
Collaborate with Consumer Insights team to identify research needs and execute projects.
Collaborate with Analytics to establish campaign metrics, cross-channel reporting processes/templates, and share-out to the broader organization.
Collaborate with Creative Services to influence, maintain, and expand brand guidelines.
Partner with internal Creative Services team and external agencies on creative strategy, campaign concepting and production.
Develop relationships with internal category, product, and marketing channel leads (integrated marketing, email, social, partnerships, PR, etc.) to ensure coordinated, consistent, cross-channel campaigns.
What You’ll Need:
8-10 years of consumer brand management and marketing experience; ideally including a mix of agency, large corporate, and/or startup environments.
Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed organization with demonstrated ability to collaborate with various teams across the company.
Brand expertise with demonstrated strategy experience (e.g., brand architecture, brand identity work).
Experience with establishing and scaling consumer brands in a variety of contexts and scenarios.
Fluency in marketing channel metrics and measurement.
Ability to create structure and codify practices, rituals, and processes.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, self-starter environment.
Diplomacy and strong business acumen with comfort and experience navigating through uncertainty.
May require some travel
Experience working both agency and client-side.
Proven track record in E-commerce space.
