The Artist in Residence will be responsible for:

  • Working as a Creative Writer/Artist in Residence, under general supervision and in accordance with established professional and departmental standards, methods and models.

  • Planning, designing and implementing art activities and programs for patients and families.

  • Teaching art techniques and supporting product development to share with family and a greater audience, with emphasis on creative writing.

  • Collecting data from the interactions for quality improvement initiatives.

To qualify, you must have:

  • The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in fine art or creative arts.

  • 3-6 months of teaching experience in art.

  • General knowledge of computers.

  • Excellent communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well‑developed writing skills.
