Job Summary

The Transportation Architecture Studio of AECOM Boston is actively seeking a talented Architect for immediate employment in the Boston, MA office.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Under the direction of a Project Director and/or Project Manager, the candidate will produce architectural drawings and concepts using a wide range of design software

  • Prepare 2D and 3D drawings and renderings for presentations

  • Prepare Design and Contract Drawings using advanced design software tools

  • Prepare alternative design solutions, contract documents and specifications

  • Develop solutions to a wide range of difficult technical problems

  • Oversee the work of less experienced designers and architects

  • Work with clients and the project team to execute the project from concept to execution and construction completion

Minimum Requirements

  • Professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Master’s degree in Architecture with 10+ years of relevant experience in design, rendering and resolving technical issues or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Licensed Architect (preferably in MA)

  • NCARB Certified

  • Revit and BIM required as well as experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, InDesign, and software such as Rhino, SketchUp, Enscape or other visualization tools.

  • Must be willing to participate in an active and dynamic work place and at times put in extra effort to accomplish critical tasks and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the design of transportation buildings such as airport and/or rail passenger terminals is a plus but not required

  • LEED Accreditation, or desire to obtain it, would be beneficial.
