Job Description:

Under direct supervision, prepares and produces basic complexity construction contract documents, following prescribed methods and standards. Under direct supervision, prepares and produces basic complexity design presentation materials, following prescribed methods and standards. Coordinates building design formulation and development of construction contract documents with architectural and engineering staff. Collects background information and documentation including “as ‐ built” data and field survey work, as necessary. Performs other duties as required. Researches construction materials, technologies and methodologies as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Architectural Experience Program (AXP) has been initiated as specified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills and Abilities:

Basic knowledge of technologies and methodologies in the use of construction materials. Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), preferably AutoCAD, and familiarity with modeling and rendering software programs. Solid knowledge of basic business office software (Word, Excel, etc.). Good written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Revit and/or Sketchup.

Background Check and Drug Testing Information:

CDM Smith reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. In addition, CDM Smith may conduct drug testing for designated positions. Background checks are conducted after an offer of employment has been made in the United States.
