Wayfair Analyst, Marketing Email Strategy & Analytics in Boston, Massachusetts

<p>As an Analyst in the B2B Customer Relationship Marketing team, you will have the opportunity to build a world-class experience for our customers through state-of-the-art email marketing. This will give you tremendous exposure to running a marketing channel, using analytics and strategic thinking to best serve existing or new customer segments, and leveraging innovative in-house algorithms and platforms to help our customers in the data and tech-driven world at Wayfair. It’s no small feat, so we will coach you as you take on high responsibility from the start and work with many other teams, including Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Creative.</p>

<p>As you can tell by now, we aren’t your standard marketers: we own the strategy, P&amp;L, and roadmaps for our portfolio of cutting-edge and in-house-built marketing and AdTech products. We leverage deep quantitative analytics and technology to acquire high-potential customers and engage them to come back again and again. We have petabytes of first and third-party data at our fingertips; what makes us successful is using that data to build algorithms and automated solutions to take our “Zillions thing home” offering and personalize it to each and every customer.</p>

<p>What you’ll do:</p>


<li>Own part of the customer lifecycle in the email marketing channel for our small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers in various industries</li>

<li>Design, execute, and statistically analyze A/B/n tests to improve the channel with new email templates, creative designs or messaging, recommendations algorithms, segmentation models, etc.</li>

<li>Collaborate with Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Creative teams to brainstorm and execute on top objectives for the business with high visibility and impact</li>

<li>Collaborate cross-functionally to execute on the email strategy for promotional campaigns and report on their performance</li>

<li>Build dashboards, and report on channel performance in team huddles. Communicate learnings and wins to leaders across the organization in department meetings or written updates</li>

<li>Manage key channel operations among business and technical stakeholders</li>


<p>What you’ll need to succeed:</p>


<li>Strong consultative skills: the ability to work effectively and persuasively with a highly cross-functional group of business partners</li>

<li>Strong business acumen: ability to understand how various parts of the business interact; can identify and approach problems from a customer perspective</li>

<li>Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills: excited about working with and synthesizing big data into actionable insights; comfortable using data software to conduct analyses and synthesize findings</li>

<li>Exceptional problem-solving and execution skills: ability to make decisions, reprioritize tasks, and draw conclusions in the face of ambiguity</li>

<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>

<li>Proficient with Microsoft Excel</li>

<li>Familiarity with any programming language is a plus, including motivation to learn and develop the skill-set (SQL, R, Python)</li>

<li>Bachelor’s degree preferably with a quantitative focus (i.e. Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering) and a strong academic record</li>
