Job Summary.

CBRE Advisory Services pursues its business strategy primarily through operations managed at the local market level. This role is responsible for developing, leading and executing strategies that are focused on organizations that are not accounts across all A&T Office Occupier functions in the Americas—in partnership and coordination with—leaders of Geographic markets, Occupier Accounts, BOP, and other LOBs/Functions to ensure the Essential Duties below are achieved for A&T. The organizational title for this role is Executive Managing Director, Americas Office Occupier.

Essential Duties. The primary duties of the Americas Office Occupier Leader are:

  • Growth. Grow the A&T Office Occupier business to be more capable of delivering measurably better outcomes for A&T Occupier clients Drive intentional accountability for geographic leadership to grow their office occupier businesses to be meaningfully larger than CBRE, or any competitor, has previously delivered with emphasis on proactive business development and client care.

  • Competitive Positioning. Develop the Office Occupier Strategy across the entire region, including products, services, offerings, and occupier trends to drive differentiation and industry leadership. Partner with Americas Consulting to drive competitive differentiation at the point of sale. Partner with A&T Digital Strategy & Enablement leadership to drive the A&T Office Occupier tech strategy and enablement, including meaningful data elements critical to differentiating the Office Occupier platform. Build an Office Occupier business that i) is the local market leader, ii) sustainably grows its market share, and iii) maintains/extends its lead in services where the Company has the lead market position.

  • Enterprise Strategic Initiatives. Drive progress and accountability and collaborate with Advisory Regional Group Presidents, LMAs, BOP, Occupier Accounts and other LOB/Functional Leadership to advance Occupier-specific Enterprise Initiatives at the Local Market level (e.g., Consulting, Titanium, Center of Excellence, Agile, etc.). Specifically, this role acts as the connector for relevant one-off prospects and clients that he/she interacts with directly or through LMA leadership with Occupier Accounts leadership for conversion to an account relationship with CBRE.

  • Operational Excellence. Collaborating with Regional Group Presidents, LMAs, BOP, Occupier Accounts and other LOB/Functional Leadership, drive consistency in how geographic office occupier businesses are led, managed and executed by the LMAs. Implement a framework and best practices to run a growth-oriented and profitable Office Occupier practice in all key markets. Engage in and drive operational initiatives with Geographic, Functional and other LOB partners. Be in the detail with the Office Occupier business and know it deeply.

  • People. Work with Geographic market leadership, BOP, Occupier Accounts, other LOB leaders, GWS and Functional Leaders to target, recruit and retain key A&T talent across the CBRE network. Develop and deploy education and training for Office Occupier producers. Develop the Office Occupier Recruiting and Retention Strategy, including key messages and value proposition, and proactively engage in key recruiting and retention situations. Ensure the Office Occupier LOB team is an engaged and diverse group of colleagues working collaboratively to achieve the Company’s objectives.

  • Culture. Be a great matrix partner. Strengthen and leverage the relationship between the Geographic, LOB and Functional leaders, and with our producers. Establish a team culture to collaboratively pursue all enterprise and local initiatives with pace and intensity. Achieve a high level of accountability for results—celebrate accomplishments while eliminating complacency.

The A&T Office Occupier leader will also be responsible for ensuring the Americas business plan is aligned with the overall global A&T business plan.

The long-term and short-term performance of the A&T Office Occupier leader will be primarily assessed against these primary duties and annually assigned performance objectives, including the financial performance of the A&T Office Occupier Business

Qualifications & Attributes

  • 15+ years of experience in real estate industry preferably with A&T knowledge

  • Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the business line

Enterprise Executive Responsibilities. The A&T Office Occupier leader is an Enterprise Executive position and is therefore expected to carry out the additional duties and responsibilities listed on Exhibit 1.
