BJs Wholesale Club is seeking a Senior Director of Digital/OMNI Programs with e-commerce and omni channel experience to join our team as a program manager for key digital programs. In this role, the Sr. Director, Digital Programs will be reporting into the VP, Digital Experience and Programs and working with other cross functional leaders to drive the strategy, manage the P&L and ensure the success of our omni channel programs. The Sr. Director, Digital Programs will be accountable for building successful programs around key omni channel business offerings, such as Same Day Delivery, Buy Online Pick up in Store, Ship from Club, In Club Digital and Membership. The role requires tactical, hands-on business management experience leading large-scale omni channel or e-commerce programs.
As Senior Director, Digital Programs, you will be accountable for the prioritization of key initiatives to drive the program and the cross-functional coordination necessary to drive those programs to success. This includes identifying the KPIs for the program, development of the program roadmap and management of the program related initiatives. You will manage a team of high performing Sr. Digital Program Managers and be responsible for reporting on program status to senior leadership and stakeholders. You will be working side by side with senior leadership across the BJs organization, including Digital Operations, Product Management, Digital Experience, Merchandising, Club Operations, Marketing, IT and other cross functional partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
Establish the vision for our omni channel programs and drive the program strategy. Accountability for the prioritization of key initiatives to drive the programs and the cross-functional coordination necessary to drive those programs to success.
Manage the digital programs P&L by proactively identifying opportunities that drive revenue growth and business expansion; or identifying gaps in the current program offerings that could drive operational efficiency or provide cost savings while maintaining business value.
Identification of the key program KPIs and communication of the program performance to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Generate new program ideas and research/analyze their feasibility and business impact; properly prioritizing the new program initiatives that drive the most value.
Bring a creative approach to managing the program(s) and to program communications; design and create program documents and communication methods that are highly efficient and gain alignment across the organization.
Orchestrate resources from multiple departments (Ecommerce Operations, Product Management, Merchandising, Digital Experience, Club Operations, IT and other cross functional partners) with clear and concise program schedules.
Vendor relationship management and coordination of 3rd party vendor and offshore resources needed to drive the program to success.
Influence and manage all areas of the digital/OMNI programs: P&L, strategy, marketing and technical
Work with broader Digital and Club teams and executive leadership to effectively socialize program objectives, business benefits, new capabilities and channel execution strategies.
Responsible for coaching, leadership, and career development of Digital Program Team members.
At least 7-10 years of ecommerce management or omni program management experience in an aggressive fast paced ecommerce or multichannel environment
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
Senior level Ecommerce/Omnichannel experience that includes leading an online business or online retail channel to drive profitability and grow the business
Expertise with using data to monitor programs, identify opportunities and drive decisions. This experience should include using quantitative, metric driven and insight-based data to craft and re-direct ecommerce strategy.
Ability to influence and drive change with a proven track record of driving results
Excellent written and spoken communication skills is a must, including the ability to tailor communication style to different audiences, and to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (executives, senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.)
Experience in vendor selection and management of third-party partners
Excellent organizational, coordination, presentation, communication and customer service skills
Experience communicating verbally and in writing across functions, teams and organizational hierarchies.
